We stayed together in the meadow. We did not run anymore. We stood under the trees with our heads close together. We stayed there until the Earl and York returned from London.

York said I was still a good horse. He knew a man in the city of Bath who had livery stables (a business that keeps and rents horses). York said he would write to the man. The Earl wanted me to have a good home.
A week later, Robert came to take me away. I neighed to Ginger. She followed me along the fence. She called to me until she could not hear my feet. I never saw my friend Ginger again.
I had to go to Bath by train. The train made loud noises and shook a lot. At first, I was scared. But soon I was quiet. I arrived at the new stable. It was not as nice as Earlshall.
The floor of the stable was on a slope. I had to stand in a difficult way all day. It made my legs very tired. But the master gave me good food and cleaned me well. He had many horses and carriages to rent to people.
