బెన్ గారు: Vocafy Unpackedకి మళ్లీ స్వాగతం. నేను మీ వ్యాఖ్యాతను. ఈ రోజు మనం AI ట్యూటర్ల గురించి మాట్లాడుకుందాం.

Ben: Welcome back to Vocafy Unpacked. I'm Ben, and today we're talking about AI tutors.

క్లారా గారు: హాయ్, బెన్ గారు. ఇది ఆసక్తికరమైన అంశం. ఎందుకంటే అర్థం చేసుకోవడానికి అత్యంత సులభమైన భాషా అభ్యాస సాధనాల్లో AI చాట్ ఒకటి. మీరు సంభాషణను తెరిచి, ఆ భాషను ఉపయోగించడం ప్రారంభిస్తారు.

Clara: Hi Ben. This is an interesting one because AI chat is probably one of the easiest language-learning tools to understand. You open a conversation and start using the language.

బెన్ గారు: అది ఇప్పటికే చాలా ఉపయోగకరంగా అనిపిస్తోంది. రాత్రి పదకొండు గంటలకు అకస్మాత్తుగా స్పానిష్ సాధన చేయాలని నాకు అనిపిస్తే, మాట్లాడటానికి ఎవరైనా అందుబాటులో ఉంటారని చెప్పలేం కదా.

Ben: Which already sounds pretty useful. I don't always have somebody available when I suddenly decide I should practise Spanish at eleven at night.

క్లారా గారు: నిజమే. మీరు సాధన చేయాలనుకున్నప్పుడు అందుబాటులో ఉండే సంభాషణ భాగస్వామి ఒక ముఖ్యమైన ఆచరణాత్మక అడ్డంకిని తొలగిస్తారు.

Clara: Exactly. A conversation partner that is available when you want to practise removes one very practical barrier.

మీరు ఒక ఆలోచనను వ్యక్తం చేయడానికి ప్రయత్నించవచ్చు, ఎక్కడైనా ఇబ్బంది ఎదురైతే వివరణ అడగవచ్చు, ఆ సంభాషణ మీకు ఉపయోగకరంగా ఉన్నంతసేపు కొనసాగించవచ్చు.

You can try to express an idea, ask for an explanation when you're stuck and continue for as long as the conversation is useful to you.

బెన్ గారు: కానీ ఇప్పుడు AI చాట్‌బాట్‌లు ఎక్కడ చూసినా ఉన్నాయి. నేను సాధారణ చాట్‌బాట్‌ను తెరిచి, “నాతో స్పానిష్‌లో మాట్లాడండి” అని చెప్పగలను.

Ben: But there are AI chatbots everywhere now. I can open a general chatbot and say, "Talk to me in Spanish."

అలాంటప్పుడు భాషా అభ్యాస వ్యవస్థలోనే ట్యూటర్‌ను ఎందుకు ఉంచాలి?

So why put a tutor inside a language-learning system?

క్లారా గారు: అదే మరింత ఆసక్తికరమైన ప్రశ్న.

Clara: That's the more interesting question.

మాట్లాడగల మరో AI ఉండటమే అసలు తేడా కాదు.

The difference isn't simply having another AI that can talk.

ఆ సంభాషణ దేనితో అనుసంధానం కాగలదన్నదే ముఖ్యం.

It's what the conversation can connect to.

If the tutor knows something about the vocabulary you're already learning, can bring some of that vocabulary back into conversation, can include a real review when appropriate and can help you save something useful that appears during the chat, then conversation becomes part of a larger learning process.

బెన్ గారు: అంటే ప్రతి చాట్ ఖాళీ పేజీ నుంచి మొదలవకుండా, నేను ఇప్పటికే నేర్చుకున్నదానిలో కొంత నాతో పాటు వస్తుందన్నమాట.

Ben: So instead of every chat beginning from a blank page, some of my learning can travel with me.

క్లారా గారు: అదే ఆలోచన.

Clara: That's the idea.

పదజాల జాబితాలో చూసినప్పుడు ఒక పదాన్ని గుర్తించడం ఒక విషయం. వాక్యంలో దాన్ని గుర్తించగలగడం మరో విషయం. సంభాషణలో దాన్ని మీరే ఉపయోగించడం ఇంకా కష్టంగా ఉండవచ్చు.

Knowing a word when you see it in a vocabulary list is one thing. Being able to recognise it in a sentence is another. And producing it yourself during a conversation can be harder again.

మీరు ఇప్పటికే ఎదుర్కొన్న భాషతో పని చేయడానికి సంభాషణ మరో వేదికను అందిస్తుంది.

Conversation gives you another place to work with language you have already encountered.

బెన్ గారు: ఆ అనుసంధానం గురించి మాట్లాడే ముందు, నేను అసలు ఎలాంటి సంభాషణలు చేయగలను?

Ben: Before we get into that connection, what kinds of conversations can I actually have?

క్లారా గారు: సాధన చేయడానికి అనేక మార్గాలు ఉన్నాయి.

Clara: There are several ways to practise.

మీరు కేవలం మాట్లాడాలనుకుంటే, మీకు ఆసక్తి ఉన్న అంశంపై స్వేచ్ఛా సంభాషణను ప్రారంభించవచ్చు.

If you simply want to talk, you can start a free conversation about something that interests you.

మరింత మార్గదర్శకం కావాలంటే, ట్యూటర్ ఒక అంశాన్ని పరిచయం చేసి, విషయాలను వివరించి, ప్రశ్నలు అడిగే పాఠ సెషన్‌ను ఉపయోగించవచ్చు.

If you want more guidance, you can use a lesson session where the tutor can introduce a topic, explain things and ask questions.

మీరు నేర్చుకుంటున్న పదాలు, పదబంధాలతో మరింత నేరుగా పని చేయడానికి పదజాలంపై దృష్టి పెట్టే సెషన్ కూడా ఉంది.

There is a vocabulary-focused session for working more directly with words and expressions you're learning.

అలాగే ప్రయాణం చేయడం, ఆహారం ఆర్డర్ చేయడం లేదా ఉద్యోగ ఇంటర్వ్యూలో పాల్గొనడం వంటి మీరు నిజంగా ఎదుర్కొనే పరిస్థితుల కోసం పాత్రాభినయం కూడా ఉంది.

And there is roleplay for situations you might actually face, such as travelling, ordering food or taking part in a job interview.

బెన్ గారు: పాత్రాభినయం నాకు నచ్చుతుంది. ఎందుకంటే అందులో పరిష్కరించాల్సిన సమస్య స్పష్టంగా ఉంటుంది. “ఈ రోజు ఇద్దరు మనుషులు దేని గురించి మాట్లాడాలి?” అని ఆలోచిస్తూ కూర్చోవాల్సిన పని ఉండదు.

Ben: I like roleplay because there's an obvious problem to solve. I'm not sitting there thinking, "What should two humans talk about today?"

క్లారా గారు: నిజమే. ఆ పరిస్థితి సంభాషణకు ఒక లక్ష్యాన్ని ఇస్తుంది.

Clara: Exactly. The situation gives the conversation a purpose.

మీరు స్పానిష్ నేర్చుకుంటూ, ఒక ప్రయాణానికి సిద్ధమవుతున్నారని ఊహించుకుందాం.

Let's imagine you're learning Spanish and you're preparing for a trip.

మీరు దుకాణంలో జరిగే పాత్రాభినయాన్ని ఎంచుకుంటారు. ట్యూటర్ దుకాణ సిబ్బంది పాత్రను పోషిస్తే, మీరు మీ వంతు సంభాషణను సాధన చేస్తారు.

You choose a shop roleplay. The tutor takes the role of the shop assistant and you practise your side of the interaction.

బెన్ గారు: ఇక్కడే నా పదజాలం సంభాషణలోకి రావడం మొదలవుతుందా?

Ben: And this is where my vocabulary can start coming into it?

క్లారా గారు: అవును.

Clara: Yes.

మీరు ఇప్పటికే నేర్చుకుంటున్న ఎంపిక చేసిన పదాలు, పదబంధాలతో పాటు వాటి గురించి Vocafy వద్ద ఉన్న సంబంధిత సమాచారాన్ని కూడా సంభాషణ ఉపయోగించగలదు.

Conversation can use selected words and expressions that you're already learning, together with some relevant information Vocafy has about them.

సాధారణ సంభాషణలో ఉపయోగకరమైన పదజాలం సహజంగా మళ్లీ కనిపించడానికి ఇది సహాయపడుతుంది.

In a normal conversation, that can help useful vocabulary appear again naturally.

పదజాల సెషన్‌లో మీరు సాధన చేస్తున్న లేదా మీకు కష్టంగా అనిపించిన పదాలపై ట్యూటర్ మరింత నేరుగా దృష్టి పెట్టగలదు.

In a vocabulary session, the tutor can focus more directly on words you're working on or words that have been difficult for you.

బెన్ గారు: ఒక ఉదాహరణ చెప్పండి.

Ben: Give me an example.

క్లారా గారు: “Estoy buscando” అనే పదబంధాన్ని మీరు నేర్చుకుంటున్నారని అనుకుందాం. దాని అర్థం “నేను వెతుకుతున్నాను.”

Clara: Suppose you've been learning "Estoy buscando", meaning "I'm looking for."

ఆ పదబంధం ఉపయోగపడే సహజమైన సందర్భాన్ని సంభాషణ సృష్టించగలదు.

The conversation could create a natural opportunity where that expression is useful.

ట్యూటర్ దుకాణ సిబ్బంది పాత్రలో ఉండి, మీరు ఏమి వెతుకుతున్నారో అడగవచ్చు.

The tutor might be playing a shop assistant and ask what it can help you find.

ఇప్పుడు “Estoy buscando”ను మళ్లీ అధ్యయన కార్డ్‌పై చూడటానికి బదులుగా, దాన్ని మీరే ఉపయోగించడానికి ఒక కారణం ఉంటుంది.

Now instead of seeing "Estoy buscando" on a study card again, you have a reason to produce it.

బెన్ గారు: అప్పుడు నేను “Estoy buscando un regalo para mi amigo” అని సమాధానం చెప్పవచ్చు.

Ben: So I might answer, "Estoy buscando un regalo para mi amigo."

క్లారా గారు: నిజమే.

Clara: Exactly.

అది చాలా ముఖ్యమైన తేడా.

And that's an important distinction.

మీరు ఆ పదబంధాన్ని గుర్తించగలరో లేదో మాత్రమే తనిఖీ చేయడం లేదు. ఏదో ఒక విషయాన్ని తెలియజేయడానికి దాన్ని ఉపయోగించడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు.

You aren't only checking whether you recognise the expression. You're trying to use it to communicate something.

బెన్ గారు: ట్యూటర్ నా పదజాలాన్ని ప్రతి వాక్యంలోనూ బలవంతంగా చొప్పిస్తుందా?

Ben: Does the tutor constantly force my vocabulary into every sentence?

క్లారా గారు: లేదు. అలా ఉండాలని కూడా మీరు కోరుకోరు.

Clara: No, and you wouldn't want that.

ప్రతి సంభాషణను మారువేషంలో ఉన్న పదజాల పరీక్షగా మార్చడం దీని ఉద్దేశం కాదు.

The point is not to turn every conversation into a disguised vocabulary test.

సాధారణ చాట్‌లో, సందర్భానికి సరిపోయినప్పుడు ఎంపిక చేసిన పదజాలాన్ని మళ్లీ తీసుకురావచ్చు. మీరు ప్రత్యేకంగా పదజాల సాధనను ఎంచుకుంటే, ఆ సెషన్ మీరు నేర్చుకుంటున్న విషయాలపై మరింత ఎక్కువగా దృష్టి పెట్టగలదు.

In an ordinary chat, selected vocabulary can be brought back when it fits. If you specifically choose vocabulary practice, then the session can focus much more heavily on what you're learning.

బెన్ గారు: కేవలం చాట్ చేయడానికి, చాట్ ద్వారానే ఉద్దేశపూర్వకంగా అధ్యయనం చేయడానికి మధ్య ఇది ఉపయోగకరమైన తేడాలా అనిపిస్తోంది.

Ben: That seems like a useful difference between just chatting and deliberately studying through chat.

క్లారా గారు: అవును. కొన్నిసార్లు మీరు చదువుతున్నారనే విషయాన్ని మరిచిపోయి, కేవలం సంభాషించాలనుకుంటారు.

Clara: It is. Sometimes you want to forget that you're studying and simply have a conversation.

మరికొన్నిసార్లు, “ఈ పదాలు నా పదజాలంలో ఉన్నాయి, కానీ నేను వాటిని ఎప్పుడూ ఉపయోగించనే లేదు” అని మీకు అనిపించవచ్చు.

At other times you might think, "I have these words in my vocabulary, but I never actually use them."

అప్పుడు పదజాలంపై దృష్టి పెట్టే సంభాషణ ఉపయోగపడుతుంది.

Then a vocabulary-focused conversation makes sense.

బెన్ గారు: సంభాషణ మధ్యలో నాకు పరీక్షలాంటి సాధన అవసరమైతే ఏం జరుగుతుంది?

Ben: And what happens if I need something more test-like during the conversation?

క్లారా గారు: Vocafy సాధనను నేరుగా చాట్‌లోకే తీసుకురాగలదు.

Clara: Vocafy can bring practice directly into the chat too.

ఉదాహరణకు, పదజాలాన్ని త్వరగా తనిఖీ చేయడానికి ఒక చిన్న బహుళైచ్ఛిక ప్రశ్నను చూపించగలదు.

For example, it can show a short multiple-choice question for a quick vocabulary check.

అంతకంటే ముఖ్యంగా, నిజంగా పునశ్చరణ చేయాల్సిన అంశాన్ని కూడా చాట్‌లోకి తీసుకురాగలదు.

More importantly, it can also bring in an item that is actually due for review.

బెన్ గారు: నిజంగా పునశ్చరణ చేయాల్సిన అంశం అంటున్నారు—అంటే నా సాధారణ పదజాల పునశ్చరణలోనిదేనా?

Ben: When you say actually due for review, you mean from my normal vocabulary review?

క్లారా గారు: అవును.

Clara: Exactly.

ఆ సంభాషణ కోసమే సృష్టించిన ఒక కల్పిత ప్రశ్నకు మీరు సమాధానం ఇవ్వడం లేదు.

You're not answering a pretend question that exists only inside that conversation.

పునశ్చరణ చేయాల్సిన పదజాల కార్డ్ చాట్‌లో కనిపించవచ్చు. మీరు అక్కడే సమాధానం ఇస్తారు; ఆ ఫలితం మీ సాధారణ పునశ్చరణ చరిత్రలో భాగమవుతుంది.

A vocabulary card that is due for review can appear in the chat. You answer it there, and the result becomes part of your normal review history.

అంటే, ఆ అంశం మళ్లీ ఎప్పుడు కనిపించాలో కూడా ఆ ఫలితం ప్రభావితం చేయగలదు.

That means it can affect when the item should appear again.

బెన్ గారు: ఇది AI నా కోసం అప్పటికప్పుడు పదజాల క్విజ్‌ను సృష్టించడం కంటే చాలా భిన్నంగా ఉంది.

Ben: That's quite different from an AI simply inventing a vocabulary quiz for me.

క్లారా గారు: అవును. రెండూ ఉపయోగకరంగా ఉండవచ్చు, కానీ అవి వేర్వేరు విషయాలు.

Clara: Yes. Both can be useful, but they're different things.

ఒకటి సంభాషణలో భాగంగా రూపొందించిన ప్రశ్న.

One is a question generated as part of the conversation.

మరొకటి మీరు నిజంగా నేర్చుకుంటున్న పదజాలంతో, దాని పునశ్చరణ చరిత్రతో అనుసంధానమై ఉంటుంది.

The other is connected to vocabulary you're actually learning and to its review history.

బెన్ గారు: అంటే సంభాషణ అభ్యాస వ్యవస్థలోని సమాచారాన్ని ఉపయోగించుకోగలదన్నమాట.

Ben: So the conversation can reach into the learning system.

క్లారా గారు: అందుబాటులో ఉన్న విధాలుగా, అవును.

Clara: In supported ways, yes.

ఈ అనుసంధానం మరో దిశలో కూడా పనిచేయగలదు.

And the connection can also work in the other direction.

బెన్ గారు: అంటే సంభాషణ కూడా తిరిగి ఏదైనా అందించగలదా?

Ben: Meaning the conversation can give something back?

క్లారా గారు: నిజమే.

Clara: Exactly.

ట్యూటర్ మీరు ఇంతకుముందు చూడని ఒక పదబంధాన్ని ఉపయోగించిందని ఊహించండి. అప్పుడు “ఇది ఉపయోగకరంగా ఉంది. దీన్ని గుర్తుంచుకోవాలి” అని మీకు అనిపించవచ్చు.

Imagine the tutor uses a phrase you've never seen before and you think, "That's useful. I want to remember that."

ఆ పదబంధం అక్కడితో సంభాషణలోనే ముగిసిపోవాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు.

Conversation doesn't have to be the end of that phrase.

ఉపయోగకరమైన పదం లేదా పదబంధాన్ని ఒక ఉదాహరణ వాక్యంతో కలిపి సేవ్ చేసుకోవాలని Vocafy సూచించగలదు.

Vocafy can offer to save a useful word or expression together with an example sentence.

బెన్ గారు: స్వయంచాలకంగానా?

Ben: Automatically?

క్లారా గారు: సేవ్ చేసుకోవాలని సూచించగలదు, కానీ దాన్ని చేర్చాలా వద్దా అన్నది మీరే నిర్ణయిస్తారు.

Clara: It can offer it, but you decide whether to add it.

మీరు ఆమోదించే వరకు ఏదీ మీ వ్యక్తిగత పదజాలంలో భాగం కాదు.

Nothing becomes part of your personal vocabulary until you approve it.

బెన్ గారు: అది నాకు నచ్చింది. లేకపోతే, అత్యుత్సాహం చూపించే AI ఒకే సంభాషణ నుంచి యాభై పదబంధాలతో నా పదజాలాన్ని నింపేయగలదు.

Ben: I like that. Otherwise an enthusiastic AI could probably fill my vocabulary with fifty expressions from one conversation.

క్లారా గారు: సరిగ్గా చెప్పారు.

Clara: Precisely.

నేర్చుకోవడానికి విలువైన విషయాన్ని గుర్తించడంలో ట్యూటర్ సహాయపడగలదు, కానీ తుది నిర్ణయం మాత్రం మీదే.

The tutor can help you notice something worth learning, but you're still making the decision.

మీరు ఆమోదించిన తర్వాత, ఆ పదబంధం మీ వ్యక్తిగత పదజాలంలో భాగమవుతుంది. దాన్ని ‘నా జ్ఞానం’ విభాగంలో నిర్వహించవచ్చు. మీరు సేవ్ చేసిన పదజాలంతో పనిచేసే Vocafyలోని ఇతర భాగాల్లోనూ దాన్ని ఉపయోగించవచ్చు.

Once you approve it, that expression becomes part of your personal vocabulary. You can manage it in My Knowledge and use it in other parts of Vocafy that work with your saved vocabulary.

బెన్ గారు: అంటే ఇక్కడ నిజానికి రెండు దిశలు ఉన్నాయి.

Ben: So there are really two directions here.

నేను ఇప్పటికే నేర్చుకుంటున్నది సంభాషణలోకి రావచ్చు; సంభాషణలో కనిపించిన ఉపయోగకరమైన విషయం నా పదజాలంలోకి వెళ్లవచ్చు.

Something I'm already learning can enter the conversation, and something useful from the conversation can enter my vocabulary.

క్లారా గారు: దీన్ని అర్థం చేసుకోవడానికి అది చాలా మంచి విధానం.

Clara: That's a very good way to think about it.

కేవలం ఫ్లాష్‌కార్డ్ వ్యవస్థ పక్కన ఒక చాట్‌బాట్‌ను ఉంచడం కంటే ఈ అనుసంధానం ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉండటానికి అదే కారణం.

And that's what makes the connection more interesting than simply putting a chatbot next to a flashcard system.

సంభాషణ, పదజాలం పూర్తిగా వేర్వేరుగా ఉండాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు.

The conversation and the vocabulary don't have to remain completely separate.

బెన్ గారు: ట్యూటర్ ఎలా వ్యవహరించాలో కూడా నేను ఎంచుకోవచ్చని ఇంతకుముందు చెప్పారు.

Ben: Earlier you mentioned that I can choose how the tutor behaves too.

క్లారా గారు: అవును. ఎందుకంటే అందరికీ ఒకే రకమైన ఉపాధ్యాయుడు కావాలనిపించదు.

Clara: Yes, because not everyone wants the same kind of teacher.

కొందరు అభ్యాసకులు ప్రతి తప్పును వెంటనే సరిదిద్దాలని కోరుకుంటారు. మరికొందరికి అది అలసట కలిగిస్తుంది; అభిప్రాయం తెలుసుకునే ముందు తాము చెప్పాలనుకున్నది పూర్తిచేయాలని కోరుకుంటారు.

Some learners want every mistake corrected immediately. Others find that exhausting and would rather finish what they're saying before getting feedback.

కొందరికి చిన్న సమాధానాలు కావాలి. మరికొందరికి వివరణాత్మక సమాధానాలు కావాలి.

Some want short responses. Others want detailed explanations.

కొందరికి స్నేహపూర్వకంగా, సరదాగా మాట్లాడే సంభాషణ భాగస్వామి కావాలి. మరికొందరు సంప్రదాయ ఉపాధ్యాయుడి తరహా విధానాన్ని ఇష్టపడతారు.

Some want a relaxed conversational partner. Others prefer something closer to a traditional teacher.

బెన్ గారు: Vocafyలో దాన్ని మార్చుకోవచ్చా?

Ben: And Vocafy lets you change that?

క్లారా గారు: అవును. భాష ఎంత అధికారికంగా ఉండాలి, సమాధానాలు ఎంత వివరంగా ఉండాలి, తప్పులను ఎలా సరిదిద్దాలి, ట్యూటర్ ఎంత ప్రోత్సాహకరంగా ఉండాలి, ఎంత హాస్యాన్ని ఉపయోగించాలి వంటి అంశాలను మీరు సర్దుబాటు చేసుకోవచ్చు.

Clara: Yes. You can adjust things such as formality, how detailed the responses should be, how correction works, how encouraging the tutor should be and how much humour it uses.

భాషా అభ్యాసంలోని నిర్దిష్ట అంశాలపై ట్యూటర్ మరింత దృష్టి పెట్టేలా కూడా చేయవచ్చు.

You can also give the tutor a stronger focus on particular areas of language learning.

వివరణల కోసం మీకు ఇప్పటికే తెలిసిన భాషను ఎంతవరకు ఉపయోగించాలో కూడా నిర్ణయించవచ్చు.

And you can decide how much of a language you already know should be used for explanations.

బెన్ గారు: అంటే ప్రారంభ స్థాయిలో ఉన్నప్పుడు, కష్టమైన వివరణలు నా సొంత భాషలో కావాలని నేను కోరుకోవచ్చు.

Ben: So as a beginner I might want difficult explanations in my own language.

క్లారా గారు: అవును.

Clara: Exactly.

తర్వాత దాదాపు ప్రతిదీ మీరు నేర్చుకుంటున్న భాషలోనే ఉండాలని కోరుకోవచ్చు.

Later, you might prefer to keep almost everything in the language you're learning.

ఇవన్నీ మీరే సర్దుబాటు చేసుకోవాలనిపించకపోతే, ఒక నిర్దిష్ట బోధనా శైలితో ముందే సిద్ధం చేసిన ట్యూటర్‌ను ఉపయోగించడం ప్రారంభించవచ్చు.

And if you don't want to configure all of that yourself, you can start with a ready-made tutor that already has a particular teaching style.

బెన్ గారు: తప్పులను సరిదిద్దడం గురించి మళ్లీ కాసేపు మాట్లాడాలనుకుంటున్నాను.

Ben: I want to go back to corrections for a moment.

భాషా సంభాషణల్లో నాకు ఎదురయ్యే ఒక సమస్య ఏమిటంటే, ప్రతి వాక్యం తర్వాత నన్ను సరిదిద్దితే నేను సహజంగా మాట్లాడటం ఆపేస్తాను.

One problem I have with language conversations is that if I'm corrected after every sentence, I stop talking naturally.

క్లారా గారు: తప్పులను సరిదిద్దే శైలి ముఖ్యమవడానికి సరిగ్గా అదే కారణం.

Clara: And that's precisely why correction style matters.

ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ లేదా ప్రతి సెషన్‌కూ సరిపోయే ఒకే సెట్టింగ్ ఉండదు.

There isn't one setting that is right for everybody or for every session.

మీరు వ్యాకరణంపై ప్రత్యేకంగా సాధన చేస్తుంటే, తరచూ సరిదిద్దడమే మీకు అవసరమైనది కావచ్చు.

If you're doing focused grammar practice, frequent correction might be exactly what you want.

సంభాషణను కొనసాగించడం సాధన చేస్తుంటే, చాలా ఎక్కువ అంతరాయాలు అసలు లక్ష్యాన్నే దెబ్బతీయవచ్చు.

If you're practising keeping a conversation going, too many interruptions might defeat the purpose.

ఆ సమయంలో మీరు దేనిని సాధన చేయాలనుకుంటున్నారన్నదే ముఖ్యమైన ప్రశ్న.

The useful question is what you're trying to practise at that moment.

బెన్ గారు: ఇది ఒకే పరిపూర్ణమైన AI ఉపాధ్యాయ వ్యక్తిత్వం ఉంటుందనే భావనకు చాలా భిన్నంగా ఉంది.

Ben: That's quite different from the idea of one perfect AI teacher personality.

క్లారా గారు: అవును. మంచి అభ్యాస పరస్పర చర్య కొంతవరకు పనిపై, మరికొంతవరకు అభ్యాసకుడిపై ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంది.

Clara: Yes. A good learning interaction depends partly on the task and partly on the learner.

కొన్నిసార్లు మీకు ఉపాధ్యాయుడు కావాలి.

Sometimes you want a teacher.

కొన్నిసార్లు మీకు సంభాషణ భాగస్వామి కావాలి.

Sometimes you want a conversation partner.

కొన్నిసార్లు పదజాలంతో మీకు సవాలు చేసే వ్యక్తి కావాలి.

Sometimes you want somebody to challenge you with vocabulary.

మరికొన్నిసార్లు నిజ జీవితంలో ఒక పరిస్థితి ఎదురయ్యే ముందు దాన్ని సాధన చేయాలనుకుంటారు.

And sometimes you want to rehearse a specific situation before it happens in real life.

బెన్ గారు: మరి సంభాషణల సంగతి ఏమిటి? నేను పూర్తిచేసిన తర్వాత అవి కనిపించకుండా పోతాయా?

Ben: What about the conversations themselves? Do they disappear when I finish?

క్లారా గారు: లేదు. మీరు మునుపటి సంభాషణలకు తిరిగి వెళ్లి, తర్వాత సాధనను కొనసాగించవచ్చు.

Clara: No. You can return to earlier conversations and continue practising later.

వాటిని శోధించి, క్రమబద్ధీకరించవచ్చు; ఉపయోగకరమైన సంభాషణలను ఇష్టమైనవిగా గుర్తించవచ్చు; ప్రధాన జాబితాలో ఇకపై అవసరం లేని వాటిని ఆర్కైవ్ చేయవచ్చు.

You can also search and organise them, mark useful conversations as favourites and archive ones you no longer want in your main list.

బెన్ గారు: ఇది సాధారణమైన విషయంలా అనిపిస్తోంది. కానీ ఒక సంభాషణను ఇంటర్వ్యూ కోసం సిద్ధమవడానికి, మరొకదాన్ని ప్రయాణ సాధన కోసం ఉపయోగిస్తే చాలా ఉపయోగకరంగా ఉంటుందని ఊహించగలను.

Ben: That seems simple, but I can imagine it being useful if I had one conversation preparing for an interview and another practising a trip.

క్లారా గారు: నిజమే.

Clara: Exactly.

సెషన్ ముగిసిందనే కారణంతో ఉపయోగకరమైన సంభాషణను వదిలేయాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు.

A useful conversation doesn't have to become disposable just because the session ended.

బెన్ గారు: మొత్తం చిత్రాన్ని నేను సరిగ్గా అర్థం చేసుకున్నానో లేదో చూద్దాం.

Ben: Let me see if I've understood the bigger picture.

నేను స్వేచ్ఛా సంభాషణతో, మరింత మార్గదర్శకమైన పాఠంతో, పదజాల సాధనతో లేదా పాత్రాభినయంతో ప్రారంభించవచ్చు.

I can start with a free conversation, a more guided lesson, vocabulary practice or a roleplay.

నేను ఇప్పటికే నేర్చుకుంటున్న కొంత పదజాలంతో ట్యూటర్ పని చేయగలదు.

The tutor can work with some vocabulary I'm already learning.

పునశ్చరణ చేయాల్సిన పదజాల అంశం సంభాషణలో కనిపించగలదు; అది నిజమైన పునశ్చరణగా నమోదవుతుంది.

A due vocabulary review can appear inside the conversation and count as a real review.

ఉపయోగకరమైన కొత్త పదబంధం ఎదురైతే, దాన్ని నా పదజాలానికి చేర్చుకోవాలా వద్దా అని నేను ఎంచుకోవచ్చు.

And if a useful new expression comes up, I can choose to add it to my vocabulary.

క్లారా గారు: అంతే.

Clara: That's it.

అలాగే, మనం చెప్పని విషయం ఏమిటో కూడా గమనించండి.

And notice what we're not saying.

AI మీ మొత్తం అభ్యాస ప్రణాళికను రహస్యంగా రూపొందించాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు; తర్వాత మీరు ఏం నేర్చుకోవాలో ప్రతిదీ అదే నిర్ణయించాల్సిన అవసరమూ లేదు.

The AI doesn't need to secretly design your entire learning plan or decide everything you should learn next.

ఉపయోగకరమైన అంశం దానికంటే చాలా స్పష్టమైనది, ఆచరణాత్మకమైనది.

The useful part is much more concrete.

లేకపోతే వేర్వేరు చోట్ల ఉండిపోయే అభ్యాస ప్రక్రియలోని భాగాలను ఇది సంభాషణతో అనుసంధానించగలదు.

It can connect conversation with parts of the learning process that would otherwise sit in separate places.

బెన్ గారు: ఈ పాడ్‌కాస్ట్‌లో మనం ఇంతకుముందు మాట్లాడుకున్న ఒక విషయానికి ఇది సరిపోతుంది.

Ben: Which fits something we've talked about before on this podcast.

ఒక పదాన్ని నేర్చుకోవడం అంటే దాన్ని తగినన్ని సార్లు చూడటం మాత్రమే కాదు. చివరికి, అది ఎదురైనప్పుడు అర్థం చేసుకోవాలి; అవసరమైనప్పుడు ఉపయోగించగలగాలి.

Learning a word isn't just seeing it enough times. Eventually you want to understand it when it appears and be able to use it when you need it.

క్లారా గారు: నిజమే.

Clara: Exactly.

జ్ఞాపకం నుంచి గుర్తుచేసుకునే సాధన పదజాల అభ్యాసానికి సహాయపడుతుంది. కానీ భాష అనేది కేవలం జ్ఞాపకశక్తి పరీక్ష కాదు. మీకు తెలిసినదాన్ని ఒక ప్రయోజనం కోసం ఉపయోగించే అవకాశాలు కూడా అవసరం.

Retrieval practice can help vocabulary learning, but language isn't only a memory test. You also need opportunities to use what you know for a purpose.

అలాంటి అవకాశాల్లో సంభాషణ ఒకటి.

Conversation gives you one of those opportunities.

బెన్ గారు: ఎవరైనా మొదటిసారి ట్యూటర్‌ను తెరిస్తే, మీరు ఏం సూచిస్తారు?

Ben: So if somebody opens the tutor for the first time, what would you suggest?

క్లారా గారు: నిజమైన లక్ష్యంతో ప్రారంభించండి.

Clara: Start with a real purpose.

కేవలం “నాకు స్పానిష్ నేర్పండి” అని టైప్ చేయకండి.

Don't just type "teach me Spanish."

మీరు నిజంగా మాట్లాడాలనుకునే అంశాన్ని లేదా నిజంగా ఎదురయ్యే అవకాశమున్న పరిస్థితిని ఎంచుకోండి.

Choose something you actually want to talk about or a situation you might genuinely encounter.

మీరు ఇప్పటికే పదజాలం నేర్చుకుంటుంటే, ఒక పదజాల సెషన్‌ను ప్రయత్నించండి. ఆ పదబంధాలను కేవలం గుర్తించడం కాకుండా, ఉపయోగించడానికి మీకు అవకాశాలు కల్పించుకోండి.

If you have vocabulary you're already learning, try a vocabulary session and give yourself opportunities to use those expressions rather than only recognise them.

సంభాషణలో మీరు నిజంగా గుర్తుంచుకోవాలనుకునే పదబంధం కనిపిస్తే, దాన్ని సేవ్ చేసుకోండి.

And when the conversation produces a phrase that you genuinely want to remember, save it.

బెన్ గారు: ఇంకేమైనా?

Ben: Anything else?

క్లారా గారు: సవరణలను అంతరాయాలుగా భావించకుండా, వాటిపై శ్రద్ధ పెట్టండి.

Clara: Pay attention to corrections instead of treating them as interruptions.

ఏదైనా విషయాన్ని మరింత మెరుగ్గా ఎలా చెప్పాలో ట్యూటర్ చూపిస్తే, సంభాషణలో తర్వాత ఆ రూపాన్ని మీరే ఉపయోగించడానికి ప్రయత్నించండి.

If the tutor shows you a better way to express something, try using that form yourself later in the conversation.

తప్పుల్లేని సంభాషణ చేయడం లక్ష్యం కాదు.

The goal isn't to have a flawless chat.

తప్పుల్లోనే తరచూ అత్యంత ఉపయోగకరమైన సాధన దాగి ఉంటుంది.

The mistakes are often where the useful practice is.

బెన్ గారు: ఇది అన్నీ తెలిసిన AI ఉపాధ్యాయుడితో మాట్లాడటం కంటే, సంభాషణను మరో అభ్యాస వాతావరణంగా ఉపయోగించడం లాగా అనిపిస్తోంది.

Ben: That sounds much less like talking to an all-knowing AI teacher and much more like using conversation as another learning environment.

క్లారా గారు: నిజమే.

Clara: Exactly.

సంభాషణను సులభంగా అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావడంలో AI సహాయపడగలదు.

AI can make conversation much easier to access.

కానీ ఆ సంభాషణ వేరుగా ఉండనప్పుడు ఏం జరుగుతుందన్నదే Vocafyలోని ఆసక్తికరమైన అంశం.

But the interesting part in Vocafy is what happens when that conversation is not isolated.

మీరు నేర్చుకుంటున్న పదాలు చాట్‌లోకి రావచ్చు. నిజమైన పునశ్చరణ అక్కడే జరగవచ్చు. సంభాషణలోని ఉపయోగకరమైన భాష తిరిగి మీ పదజాలంలోకి వెళ్లవచ్చు.

Words you're learning can come into the chat. Real review can happen there. Useful language from the conversation can go back into your vocabulary.

మీ అభ్యాసం కొనసాగగల మరో వేదికగా సంభాషణ మారుతుంది.

The conversation becomes another place where your learning can continue.

బెన్ గారు: బహుశా అదే అసలు తేడా.

Ben: And maybe that's the real difference.

చాట్ గమ్యం కాదు. అది వ్యవస్థలో ఒక భాగం.

The chat isn't the destination. It's part of the system.

క్లారా గారు: దాన్ని చెప్పడానికి అది మంచి విధానం.

Clara: That's a good way to put it.

బెన్ గారు: క్లారా గారు, దీన్ని మాకు వివరంగా తెలియజేసినందుకు ధన్యవాదాలు.

Ben: Clara, thanks for walking us through it.

క్లారా గారు: సంతోషం.

Clara: My pleasure.

బెన్ గారు: వింటున్న ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఒక చిన్న ప్రయోగం చేయండి. మీ కొత్త భాషలో మీరు నిజంగా ఎదుర్కోవాలనుకునే ఒక పరిస్థితిని ఎంచుకొని, పాత్రాభినయాన్ని ప్రారంభించండి. మీరు నేర్చుకుంటున్నదానిలో ఎంతవరకు నిజంగా ఉపయోగించగలరో చూడండి.

Ben: And to everyone listening, try one simple experiment. Pick a situation you actually want to handle in your new language, start a roleplay, and see how much of what you're learning you can actually use.

క్లారా గారు: అలాగే సేవ్ చేసుకోవడానికి విలువైన ఒక పదబంధం కనిపిస్తే, ఏం చేయాలో మీకు తెలుసు.

Clara: And if you discover one expression worth keeping, you know what to do.
