Watching YouTube videos is one of the most enjoyable ways to immerse yourself in natural speech. Vocafy's Video Player turns authentic videos into rich, interactive study lessons.
How to import a YouTube video
- Open any YouTube video that has subtitles or closed captions in your target language.
- Click the Vocafy extension icon on the YouTube page and select Import to Vocafy.
- Vocafy processes the video subtitles and creates an interactive lesson in your Videos library (/videos).
Features of the interactive Video Player
- Synchronized Dual Subtitles: Follow the spoken target language with optional translation subtitles aligned line by line.
- Click Any Subtitle Word: Clicking a word automatically pauses playback and opens a popup with its meaning, part of speech, and pronunciation.
- Save with Exact Timestamp: Saved words include the exact video timestamp and sentence context so you can jump right back to that scene anytime.
- Line-by-Line Navigation: Replay the current subtitle line with one click to train your ear on difficult pronunciations.
