பென்: Vocafy விரிவாக நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு மீண்டும் வரவேற்கிறோம். நான் பென்; இன்று நாம் AI பயிற்றுநர்களைப் பற்றிப் பேசுகிறோம்.
Ben: Welcome back to Vocafy Unpacked. I'm Ben, and today we're talking about AI tutors.
கிளாரா: வணக்கம் பென். இது சுவாரசியமான தலைப்பு. ஏனெனில் AI அரட்டை என்பது புரிந்துகொள்ள மிகவும் எளிதான மொழிக் கற்றல் கருவிகளில் ஒன்றாக இருக்கலாம். நீங்கள் ஓர் உரையாடலைத் திறந்து, மொழியைப் பயன்படுத்தத் தொடங்கினால் போதும்.
Clara: Hi Ben. This is an interesting one because AI chat is probably one of the easiest language-learning tools to understand. You open a conversation and start using the language.
பென்: அதுவே மிகவும் பயனுள்ளதாகத் தெரிகிறது. இரவு பதினொரு மணிக்கு திடீரென்று ஸ்பானிஷ் பயிற்சி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று முடிவெடுக்கும்போது, என்னுடன் பயிற்சி செய்ய எப்போதும் ஒருவர் இருப்பதில்லை.
Ben: Which already sounds pretty useful. I don't always have somebody available when I suddenly decide I should practise Spanish at eleven at night.
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள். நீங்கள் பயிற்சி செய்ய விரும்பும் நேரத்தில் கிடைக்கக்கூடிய ஓர் உரையாடல் துணை, மிக முக்கியமான ஒரு நடைமுறைத் தடையை அகற்றுகிறது.
Clara: Exactly. A conversation partner that is available when you want to practise removes one very practical barrier.
நீங்கள் ஒரு கருத்தை வெளிப்படுத்த முயற்சிக்கலாம், தடுமாறும்போது விளக்கம் கேட்கலாம், அந்த உரையாடல் உங்களுக்குப் பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்கும் வரை தொடரலாம்.
You can try to express an idea, ask for an explanation when you're stuck and continue for as long as the conversation is useful to you.
பென்: ஆனால் இப்போது AI சாட்பாட்கள் எல்லா இடங்களிலும் இருக்கின்றன. நான் பொதுப் பயன்பாட்டு சாட்பாட்டைத் திறந்து, “என்னுடன் ஸ்பானிஷில் பேசுங்கள்” என்று சொல்லலாம்.
Ben: But there are AI chatbots everywhere now. I can open a general chatbot and say, "Talk to me in Spanish."
அப்படியிருக்க, மொழிக் கற்றல் அமைப்புக்குள் ஒரு பயிற்றுநரை ஏன் சேர்க்க வேண்டும்?
So why put a tutor inside a language-learning system?
கிளாரா: அதுதான் இன்னும் சுவாரசியமான கேள்வி.
Clara: That's the more interesting question.
பேசக்கூடிய இன்னொரு AI இருப்பது மட்டும் இதன் வேறுபாடு அல்ல.
The difference isn't simply having another AI that can talk.
அந்த உரையாடல் எவற்றுடன் இணைய முடியும் என்பதே முக்கியம்.
It's what the conversation can connect to.
If the tutor knows something about the vocabulary you're already learning, can bring some of that vocabulary back into conversation, can include a real review when appropriate and can help you save something useful that appears during the chat, then conversation becomes part of a larger learning process.
பென்: அப்படியானால் ஒவ்வொரு அரட்டையும் வெற்றுப் பக்கத்திலிருந்து தொடங்குவதற்குப் பதிலாக, நான் கற்றவற்றில் சிலவும் என்னுடன் தொடரும்.
Ben: So instead of every chat beginning from a blank page, some of my learning can travel with me.
கிளாரா: அதுதான் இதன் நோக்கம்.
Clara: That's the idea.
சொற்களஞ்சியப் பட்டியலில் ஒரு சொல்லைப் பார்க்கும்போது அதை அறிந்துகொள்வது ஒரு நிலை. ஒரு வாக்கியத்தில் அதை அடையாளம் காண்பது இன்னொரு நிலை. உரையாடலின்போது அதை நீங்களே பயன்படுத்துவது அதைவிடக் கடினமாக இருக்கலாம்.
Knowing a word when you see it in a vocabulary list is one thing. Being able to recognise it in a sentence is another. And producing it yourself during a conversation can be harder again.
நீங்கள் ஏற்கெனவே சந்தித்த மொழிக் கூறுகளுடன் செயல்பட உரையாடல் மற்றொரு வாய்ப்பை வழங்குகிறது.
Conversation gives you another place to work with language you have already encountered.
பென்: அந்த இணைப்பைப் பற்றிப் பேசுவதற்கு முன், நான் உண்மையில் எத்தகைய உரையாடல்களை நடத்த முடியும்?
Ben: Before we get into that connection, what kinds of conversations can I actually have?
கிளாரா: பயிற்சி செய்யப் பல வழிகள் உள்ளன.
Clara: There are several ways to practise.
நீங்கள் பேச மட்டும் விரும்பினால், உங்களுக்கு விருப்பமான ஒன்றைப் பற்றிய சுதந்திர உரையாடலைத் தொடங்கலாம்.
If you simply want to talk, you can start a free conversation about something that interests you.
கூடுதல் வழிகாட்டுதல் வேண்டுமெனில், பயிற்றுநர் ஒரு தலைப்பை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி, விளக்கங்கள் அளித்து, கேள்விகள் கேட்கும் பாட அமர்வைப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
If you want more guidance, you can use a lesson session where the tutor can introduce a topic, explain things and ask questions.
நீங்கள் கற்றுவரும் சொற்கள் மற்றும் சொற்றொடர்களுடன் இன்னும் நேரடியாகப் பயிற்சி செய்ய, சொற்களஞ்சியத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்ட அமர்வும் உள்ளது.
There is a vocabulary-focused session for working more directly with words and expressions you're learning.
பயணம் செய்வது, உணவு ஆர்டர் செய்வது அல்லது வேலை நேர்காணலில் பங்கேற்பது போன்ற, நீங்கள் உண்மையில் சந்திக்கக்கூடிய சூழல்களுக்கான பாத்திரப் பயிற்சியும் உள்ளது.
And there is roleplay for situations you might actually face, such as travelling, ordering food or taking part in a job interview.
பென்: பாத்திரப் பயிற்சி எனக்குப் பிடிக்கும். ஏனெனில் அதில் எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டிய தெளிவான சூழல் இருக்கும். “இன்று இரண்டு மனிதர்கள் எதைப் பற்றிப் பேச வேண்டும்?” என்று யோசித்துக்கொண்டு அமர்ந்திருக்க வேண்டியதில்லை.
Ben: I like roleplay because there's an obvious problem to solve. I'm not sitting there thinking, "What should two humans talk about today?"
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள். அந்தச் சூழல் உரையாடலுக்கு ஒரு நோக்கத்தை அளிக்கிறது.
Clara: Exactly. The situation gives the conversation a purpose.
நீங்கள் ஸ்பானிஷ் கற்றுக்கொண்டு, ஒரு பயணத்திற்குத் தயாராகிறீர்கள் என்று வைத்துக்கொள்வோம்.
Let's imagine you're learning Spanish and you're preparing for a trip.
கடைச் சூழலுக்கான பாத்திரப் பயிற்சியைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறீர்கள். பயிற்றுநர் கடை உதவியாளராகச் செயல்பட, அந்த உரையாடலில் உங்கள் பங்கை நீங்கள் பயிற்சி செய்கிறீர்கள்.
You choose a shop roleplay. The tutor takes the role of the shop assistant and you practise your side of the interaction.
பென்: இந்த இடத்தில்தான் என் சொற்களஞ்சியமும் இதில் இணையத் தொடங்குமா?
Ben: And this is where my vocabulary can start coming into it?
கிளாரா: ஆம்.
Clara: Yes.
நீங்கள் ஏற்கெனவே கற்றுவரும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட சொற்கள் மற்றும் சொற்றொடர்களையும், அவற்றைப் பற்றி Vocafy கொண்டுள்ள தொடர்புடைய சில தகவல்களையும் உரையாடல் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
Conversation can use selected words and expressions that you're already learning, together with some relevant information Vocafy has about them.
வழக்கமான உரையாடலில், பயனுள்ள சொற்கள் இயல்பாக மீண்டும் இடம்பெற இது உதவும்.
In a normal conversation, that can help useful vocabulary appear again naturally.
சொற்களஞ்சிய அமர்வில், நீங்கள் பயிற்சி செய்துவரும் அல்லது உங்களுக்குக் கடினமாக இருந்த சொற்கள் மீது பயிற்றுநர் இன்னும் நேரடியாகக் கவனம் செலுத்தலாம்.
In a vocabulary session, the tutor can focus more directly on words you're working on or words that have been difficult for you.
பென்: ஓர் உதாரணம் சொல்லுங்கள்.
Ben: Give me an example.
கிளாரா: “Estoy buscando” என்பதை நீங்கள் கற்றுவருவதாக வைத்துக்கொள்வோம். அதன் பொருள் “நான் தேடுகிறேன்.”
Clara: Suppose you've been learning "Estoy buscando", meaning "I'm looking for."
அந்தச் சொற்றொடர் பயனுள்ளதாக அமையும் ஓர் இயல்பான வாய்ப்பை உரையாடல் உருவாக்கலாம்.
The conversation could create a natural opportunity where that expression is useful.
பயிற்றுநர் கடை உதவியாளராக இருந்து, எதைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க உங்களுக்கு உதவலாம் என்று கேட்கலாம்.
The tutor might be playing a shop assistant and ask what it can help you find.
இப்போது “Estoy buscando” என்பதை மீண்டும் ஒரு கற்றல் அட்டையில் பார்ப்பதற்குப் பதிலாக, அதை நீங்களே சொல்ல வேண்டிய காரணம் உங்களுக்கு உள்ளது.
Now instead of seeing "Estoy buscando" on a study card again, you have a reason to produce it.
பென்: அப்போது நான், “Estoy buscando un regalo para mi amigo” என்று பதிலளிக்கலாம்.
Ben: So I might answer, "Estoy buscando un regalo para mi amigo."
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள்.
Clara: Exactly.
அது ஒரு முக்கியமான வேறுபாடு.
And that's an important distinction.
அந்தச் சொற்றொடரை உங்களால் அடையாளம் காண முடிகிறதா என்று மட்டும் சரிபார்க்கவில்லை. ஒரு கருத்தைத் தெரிவிக்க அதைப் பயன்படுத்த முயல்கிறீர்கள்.
You aren't only checking whether you recognise the expression. You're trying to use it to communicate something.
பென்: பயிற்றுநர் என் சொற்களஞ்சியத்தை ஒவ்வொரு வாக்கியத்திலும் தொடர்ந்து வலுக்கட்டாயமாகப் புகுத்துமா?
Ben: Does the tutor constantly force my vocabulary into every sentence?
கிளாரா: இல்லை; நீங்கள் அப்படி இருக்க விரும்பவும் மாட்டீர்கள்.
Clara: No, and you wouldn't want that.
ஒவ்வொரு உரையாடலையும் மறைமுகமான சொற்களஞ்சியத் தேர்வாக மாற்றுவது இதன் நோக்கமல்ல.
The point is not to turn every conversation into a disguised vocabulary test.
In an ordinary chat, selected vocabulary can be brought back when it fits. If you specifically choose vocabulary practice, then the session can focus much more heavily on what you're learning.
பென்: வெறுமனே அரட்டையடிப்பதற்கும், அரட்டையின் மூலம் திட்டமிட்டுப் படிப்பதற்கும் இடையிலான பயனுள்ள வேறுபாடாக இது தெரிகிறது.
Ben: That seems like a useful difference between just chatting and deliberately studying through chat.
கிளாரா: ஆம். சில நேரங்களில் நீங்கள் படிக்கிறீர்கள் என்பதையே மறந்துவிட்டு, வெறுமனே உரையாட விரும்புவீர்கள்.
Clara: It is. Sometimes you want to forget that you're studying and simply have a conversation.
வேறு சில நேரங்களில், “இந்தச் சொற்கள் என் சொற்களஞ்சியத்தில் இருக்கின்றன; ஆனால் நான் உண்மையில் அவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்துவதே இல்லை” என்று நினைக்கலாம்.
At other times you might think, "I have these words in my vocabulary, but I never actually use them."
அப்போது சொற்களஞ்சியத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்ட உரையாடல் பொருத்தமானதாக இருக்கும்.
Then a vocabulary-focused conversation makes sense.
பென்: உரையாடலின்போது தேர்வு போன்ற ஒன்று எனக்குத் தேவைப்பட்டால் என்ன நடக்கும்?
Ben: And what happens if I need something more test-like during the conversation?
கிளாரா: Vocafy பயிற்சியை நேரடியாக அரட்டைக்குள்ளும் கொண்டுவர முடியும்.
Clara: Vocafy can bring practice directly into the chat too.
எடுத்துக்காட்டாக, விரைவான சொற்களஞ்சியச் சரிபார்ப்புக்காக ஒரு குறுகிய பல்தேர்வு வினாவைக் காட்டலாம்.
For example, it can show a short multiple-choice question for a quick vocabulary check.
அதைவிட முக்கியமாக, உண்மையிலேயே மீள்பார்க்க வேண்டிய நேரம் வந்த ஓர் அட்டையையும் அதனால் கொண்டுவர முடியும்.
More importantly, it can also bring in an item that is actually due for review.
பென்: உண்மையிலேயே மீள்பார்க்க வேண்டிய நேரம் வந்தது என்று சொல்வது, எனது வழக்கமான சொற்களஞ்சிய மீள்பார்வையிலிருந்து வரும் அட்டையையா?
Ben: When you say actually due for review, you mean from my normal vocabulary review?
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள்.
Clara: Exactly.
அந்த உரையாடலுக்குள் மட்டும் இருக்கும் ஒரு செயற்கையான வினாவுக்கு நீங்கள் பதிலளிக்கவில்லை.
You're not answering a pretend question that exists only inside that conversation.
மீள்பார்க்க வேண்டிய நேரம் வந்த சொற்களஞ்சிய அட்டை அரட்டையில் தோன்றலாம். நீங்கள் அங்கேயே அதற்குப் பதிலளிக்கலாம்; அந்த முடிவு உங்கள் வழக்கமான மீள்பார்வை வரலாற்றின் பகுதியாகப் பதிவாகும்.
A vocabulary card that is due for review can appear in the chat. You answer it there, and the result becomes part of your normal review history.
அதனால் அந்த அட்டை மீண்டும் எப்போது தோன்ற வேண்டும் என்பதும் மாறலாம்.
That means it can affect when the item should appear again.
பென்: ஓர் AI எனக்காக ஒரு சொற்களஞ்சிய வினாடி வினாவை வெறுமனே உருவாக்குவதிலிருந்து இது முற்றிலும் வேறுபட்டது.
Ben: That's quite different from an AI simply inventing a vocabulary quiz for me.
கிளாரா: ஆம். இரண்டுமே பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்கலாம்; ஆனால் அவை வெவ்வேறானவை.
Clara: Yes. Both can be useful, but they're different things.
ஒன்று, உரையாடலின் பகுதியாக உருவாக்கப்படும் வினா.
One is a question generated as part of the conversation.
மற்றொன்று, நீங்கள் உண்மையில் கற்றுவரும் சொற்களஞ்சியத்துடனும் அதன் மீள்பார்வை வரலாற்றுடனும் இணைக்கப்பட்டது.
The other is connected to vocabulary you're actually learning and to its review history.
பென்: அப்படியானால் உரையாடல் கற்றல் அமைப்புடன் நேரடியாக இணைய முடியும்.
Ben: So the conversation can reach into the learning system.
கிளாரா: அமைப்பு ஆதரிக்கும் வழிகளில், ஆம்.
Clara: In supported ways, yes.
அந்த இணைப்பு எதிர்த்திசையிலும் செயல்பட முடியும்.
And the connection can also work in the other direction.
பென்: உரையாடலும் அமைப்பிற்கு ஏதாவது திருப்பித் தர முடியும் என்கிறீர்களா?
Ben: Meaning the conversation can give something back?
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள்.
Clara: Exactly.
பயிற்றுநர் நீங்கள் இதுவரை பார்த்திராத ஒரு சொற்றொடரைப் பயன்படுத்துவதாகக் கற்பனை செய்யுங்கள். “இது பயனுள்ளது; இதை நான் நினைவில் வைத்துக்கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்” என்று நீங்கள் நினைக்கிறீர்கள்.
Imagine the tutor uses a phrase you've never seen before and you think, "That's useful. I want to remember that."
அந்தச் சொற்றொடரின் பயணம் உரையாடலுடன் முடிந்துவிட வேண்டியதில்லை.
Conversation doesn't have to be the end of that phrase.
பயனுள்ள சொல்லையோ சொற்றொடரையோ ஓர் எடுத்துக்காட்டு வாக்கியத்துடன் சேமிக்கும் வாய்ப்பை Vocafy வழங்கலாம்.
Vocafy can offer to save a useful word or expression together with an example sentence.
பென்: தானாகவா?
Ben: Automatically?
கிளாரா: அதைச் சேர்க்குமாறு பரிந்துரைக்கலாம்; ஆனால் சேர்ப்பதா வேண்டாமா என்பதை நீங்கள்தான் முடிவு செய்வீர்கள்.
Clara: It can offer it, but you decide whether to add it.
நீங்கள் ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கும் வரை எதுவும் உங்கள் தனிப்பட்ட சொற்களஞ்சியத்தின் பகுதியாகாது.
Nothing becomes part of your personal vocabulary until you approve it.
பென்: அது எனக்குப் பிடித்திருக்கிறது. இல்லையெனில், மிகுந்த ஆர்வமுள்ள ஓர் AI ஒரே உரையாடலில் இருந்து ஐம்பது சொற்றொடர்களை என் சொற்களஞ்சியத்தில் நிரப்பிவிடக்கூடும்.
Ben: I like that. Otherwise an enthusiastic AI could probably fill my vocabulary with fifty expressions from one conversation.
கிளாரா: மிகச் சரி.
Clara: Precisely.
கற்றுக்கொள்ளத் தகுந்த ஒன்றைக் கவனிக்கப் பயிற்றுநர் உதவலாம்; ஆனால் முடிவை எடுப்பது நீங்கள்தான்.
The tutor can help you notice something worth learning, but you're still making the decision.
நீங்கள் ஒப்புதல் அளித்ததும், அந்தச் சொற்றொடர் உங்கள் தனிப்பட்ட சொற்களஞ்சியத்தின் பகுதியாகிவிடும். எனது அறிவு பகுதியில் அதை நிர்வகிக்கலாம்; சேமித்த சொற்களஞ்சியத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தும் Vocafy-யின் பிற பகுதிகளிலும் அதைப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
Once you approve it, that expression becomes part of your personal vocabulary. You can manage it in My Knowledge and use it in other parts of Vocafy that work with your saved vocabulary.
பென்: அப்படியானால் இங்கே உண்மையில் இரண்டு திசைகள் உள்ளன.
Ben: So there are really two directions here.
நான் ஏற்கெனவே கற்றுவரும் ஒன்று உரையாடலுக்குள் வரலாம்; உரையாடலில் கிடைக்கும் பயனுள்ள ஒன்று என் சொற்களஞ்சியத்திற்குள் செல்லலாம்.
Something I'm already learning can enter the conversation, and something useful from the conversation can enter my vocabulary.
கிளாரா: இதைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள அது மிகச் சிறந்த வழி.
Clara: That's a very good way to think about it.
ஒரு ஃபிளாஷ்கார்டு அமைப்புக்குப் பக்கத்தில் சாட்பாட்டை வைப்பதைவிட இந்த இணைப்பைச் சுவாரசியமாக்குவதும் இதுதான்.
And that's what makes the connection more interesting than simply putting a chatbot next to a flashcard system.
உரையாடலும் சொற்களஞ்சியமும் முற்றிலும் தனித்தனியாக இருக்க வேண்டியதில்லை.
The conversation and the vocabulary don't have to remain completely separate.
பென்: பயிற்றுநர் எப்படி நடந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் என்பதையும் நான் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கலாம் என்று முன்பு குறிப்பிட்டீர்கள்.
Ben: Earlier you mentioned that I can choose how the tutor behaves too.
கிளாரா: ஆம். ஏனெனில் அனைவரும் ஒரே வகையான ஆசிரியரை விரும்புவதில்லை.
Clara: Yes, because not everyone wants the same kind of teacher.
சிலர் ஒவ்வொரு தவறும் உடனடியாகத் திருத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறார்கள். மற்றவர்கள் அதைச் சோர்வூட்டுவதாகக் கருதி, பின்னூட்டம் பெறுவதற்கு முன் தாங்கள் சொல்ல வருவதை முடிக்க விரும்புகிறார்கள்.
Some learners want every mistake corrected immediately. Others find that exhausting and would rather finish what they're saying before getting feedback.
சிலர் குறுகிய பதில்களை விரும்புகிறார்கள். மற்றவர்கள் விரிவான விளக்கங்களை விரும்புகிறார்கள்.
Some want short responses. Others want detailed explanations.
சிலர் இயல்பாக உரையாடும் துணையை விரும்புகிறார்கள். மற்றவர்கள் பாரம்பரிய ஆசிரியரைப் போன்ற ஒருவரை விரும்புகிறார்கள்.
Some want a relaxed conversational partner. Others prefer something closer to a traditional teacher.
பென்: இதையெல்லாம் மாற்ற Vocafy அனுமதிக்கிறதா?
Ben: And Vocafy lets you change that?
Clara: Yes. You can adjust things such as formality, how detailed the responses should be, how correction works, how encouraging the tutor should be and how much humour it uses.
மொழிக் கற்றலின் குறிப்பிட்ட அம்சங்களுக்குப் பயிற்றுநர் அதிக முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்குமாறும் அமைக்கலாம்.
You can also give the tutor a stronger focus on particular areas of language learning.
மேலும், உங்களுக்கு ஏற்கெனவே தெரிந்த ஒரு மொழியை விளக்கங்களில் எந்த அளவுக்குப் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதையும் முடிவு செய்யலாம்.
And you can decide how much of a language you already know should be used for explanations.
பென்: அப்படியானால் ஒரு தொடக்கநிலைக் கற்பவராக, கடினமான விளக்கங்களை என் சொந்த மொழியில் பெற நான் விரும்பலாம்.
Ben: So as a beginner I might want difficult explanations in my own language.
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள்.
Clara: Exactly.
பின்னர், கிட்டத்தட்ட அனைத்தையும் நீங்கள் கற்றுவரும் மொழியிலேயே வைத்திருக்க விரும்பலாம்.
Later, you might prefer to keep almost everything in the language you're learning.
இவை அனைத்தையும் நீங்களே அமைக்க விரும்பவில்லை என்றால், குறிப்பிட்ட கற்பித்தல் பாணியுடன் முன்பே அமைக்கப்பட்ட பயிற்றுநரைப் பயன்படுத்தித் தொடங்கலாம்.
And if you don't want to configure all of that yourself, you can start with a ready-made tutor that already has a particular teaching style.
பென்: திருத்தங்களைப் பற்றி மீண்டும் சிறிது பேச விரும்புகிறேன்.
Ben: I want to go back to corrections for a moment.
மொழி உரையாடல்களில் எனக்கு இருக்கும் ஒரு சிக்கல் என்னவென்றால், ஒவ்வொரு வாக்கியத்திற்குப் பிறகும் நான் திருத்தப்பட்டால், இயல்பாகப் பேசுவதை நிறுத்திவிடுகிறேன்.
One problem I have with language conversations is that if I'm corrected after every sentence, I stop talking naturally.
கிளாரா: அதனால்தான் திருத்தம் வழங்கும் பாணி முக்கியமானது.
Clara: And that's precisely why correction style matters.
அனைவருக்கும் அல்லது ஒவ்வோர் அமர்வுக்கும் பொருந்தக்கூடிய ஒரே அமைப்பு எதுவும் இல்லை.
There isn't one setting that is right for everybody or for every session.
நீங்கள் இலக்கணத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்ட பயிற்சியைச் செய்கிறீர்கள் என்றால், அடிக்கடி திருத்தம் பெறுவதையே நீங்கள் விரும்பலாம்.
If you're doing focused grammar practice, frequent correction might be exactly what you want.
உரையாடலைத் தொடர்ந்து நடத்துவதற்குப் பயிற்சி செய்கிறீர்கள் என்றால், அதிகப்படியான இடையூறுகள் அதன் நோக்கத்தையே தோற்கடிக்கக்கூடும்.
If you're practising keeping a conversation going, too many interruptions might defeat the purpose.
அந்த நேரத்தில் நீங்கள் எதைப் பயிற்சி செய்ய முயல்கிறீர்கள் என்பதே பயனுள்ள கேள்வி.
The useful question is what you're trying to practise at that moment.
பென்: எல்லோருக்கும் பொருந்தும் ஒரே மிகச் சிறந்த AI ஆசிரியர் ஆளுமை என்ற கருத்திலிருந்து இது முற்றிலும் வேறுபட்டது.
Ben: That's quite different from the idea of one perfect AI teacher personality.
கிளாரா: ஆம். ஒரு நல்ல கற்றல் உரையாடல், ஓரளவுக்குப் பயிற்சியின் தன்மையையும் ஓரளவுக்குக் கற்பவரையும் சார்ந்துள்ளது.
Clara: Yes. A good learning interaction depends partly on the task and partly on the learner.
சில நேரங்களில் உங்களுக்கு ஓர் ஆசிரியர் தேவை.
Sometimes you want a teacher.
சில நேரங்களில் உங்களுக்கு ஓர் உரையாடல் துணை தேவை.
Sometimes you want a conversation partner.
சில நேரங்களில் சொற்களஞ்சியத்தின் மூலம் உங்களுக்குச் சவால் விடும் ஒருவர் தேவை.
Sometimes you want somebody to challenge you with vocabulary.
வேறு சில நேரங்களில், நிஜ வாழ்க்கையில் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட சூழல் ஏற்படுவதற்கு முன் அதை ஒத்திகை பார்க்க விரும்புவீர்கள்.
And sometimes you want to rehearse a specific situation before it happens in real life.
பென்: அந்த உரையாடல்களுக்கு என்ன ஆகும்? நான் முடித்ததும் அவை மறைந்துவிடுமா?
Ben: What about the conversations themselves? Do they disappear when I finish?
கிளாரா: இல்லை. முந்தைய உரையாடல்களுக்குத் திரும்பிச் சென்று, பின்னர் தொடர்ந்து பயிற்சி செய்யலாம்.
Clara: No. You can return to earlier conversations and continue practising later.
அவற்றைத் தேடவும் ஒழுங்கமைக்கவும் முடியும்; பயனுள்ள உரையாடல்களை விருப்பமானவையாகக் குறிக்கலாம்; உங்கள் முதன்மைப் பட்டியலில் இனி வேண்டாதவற்றைக் காப்பகப்படுத்தலாம்.
You can also search and organise them, mark useful conversations as favourites and archive ones you no longer want in your main list.
பென்: இது எளிமையாகத் தெரிகிறது. ஆனால் நேர்காணலுக்குத் தயாராக ஓர் உரையாடலும், பயணத்திற்குப் பயிற்சி செய்ய மற்றோர் உரையாடலும் இருந்தால் இது பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்கும் என்று நினைக்கிறேன்.
Ben: That seems simple, but I can imagine it being useful if I had one conversation preparing for an interview and another practising a trip.
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள்.
Clara: Exactly.
அமர்வு முடிந்துவிட்டது என்பதற்காகப் பயனுள்ள ஓர் உரையாடலைப் பயன்படுத்திவிட்டு மறக்க வேண்டியதில்லை.
A useful conversation doesn't have to become disposable just because the session ended.
பென்: இதன் முழுமையான அமைப்பை நான் புரிந்துகொண்டேனா என்று பார்க்கிறேன்.
Ben: Let me see if I've understood the bigger picture.
சுதந்திர உரையாடல், கூடுதல் வழிகாட்டுதலுள்ள பாடம், சொற்களஞ்சியப் பயிற்சி அல்லது பாத்திரப் பயிற்சி ஆகியவற்றில் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றுடன் நான் தொடங்கலாம்.
I can start with a free conversation, a more guided lesson, vocabulary practice or a roleplay.
நான் ஏற்கெனவே கற்றுவரும் சொற்களில் சிலவற்றுடன் பயிற்றுநர் செயல்பட முடியும்.
The tutor can work with some vocabulary I'm already learning.
மீள்பார்க்க வேண்டிய நேரம் வந்த சொற்களஞ்சிய அட்டை உரையாடலுக்குள் தோன்றி, உண்மையான மீள்பார்வையாகப் பதிவாகலாம்.
A due vocabulary review can appear inside the conversation and count as a real review.
மேலும், பயனுள்ள புதிய சொற்றொடர் ஒன்று தோன்றினால், அதை என் சொற்களஞ்சியத்தில் சேர்க்க நான் தேர்வு செய்யலாம்.
And if a useful new expression comes up, I can choose to add it to my vocabulary.
கிளாரா: அவ்வளவுதான்.
Clara: That's it.
நாம் சொல்லாததையும் கவனியுங்கள்.
And notice what we're not saying.
உங்கள் முழுக் கற்றல் திட்டத்தையும் AI மறைமுகமாக வடிவமைக்கவோ, அடுத்து நீங்கள் கற்க வேண்டிய அனைத்தையும் முடிவு செய்யவோ தேவையில்லை.
The AI doesn't need to secretly design your entire learning plan or decide everything you should learn next.
இதில் பயனுள்ள பகுதி மிகவும் தெளிவானதும் நடைமுறையானதும் ஆகும்.
The useful part is much more concrete.
இல்லையெனில் தனித்தனி இடங்களில் இருக்கும் கற்றல் செயல்முறையின் பல பகுதிகளை உரையாடலுடன் அது இணைக்க முடியும்.
It can connect conversation with parts of the learning process that would otherwise sit in separate places.
பென்: இந்த வலையொலியில் முன்பு நாம் பேசிய ஒன்றுடனும் இது பொருந்துகிறது.
Ben: Which fits something we've talked about before on this podcast.
ஒரு சொல்லைக் கற்பது என்பது அதைத் தேவையான அளவு முறை பார்ப்பது மட்டும் அல்ல. இறுதியில், அது தோன்றும்போது புரிந்துகொள்ளவும், தேவைப்படும்போது பயன்படுத்தவும் நீங்கள் விரும்புவீர்கள்.
Learning a word isn't just seeing it enough times. Eventually you want to understand it when it appears and be able to use it when you need it.
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள்.
Clara: Exactly.
நினைவிலிருந்து மீட்டெடுக்கும் பயிற்சி சொற்களஞ்சியத்தைக் கற்க உதவும். ஆனால் மொழி என்பது நினைவாற்றல் சோதனை மட்டும் அல்ல. உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்தவற்றை ஒரு நோக்கத்திற்காகப் பயன்படுத்தும் வாய்ப்புகளும் தேவை.
Retrieval practice can help vocabulary learning, but language isn't only a memory test. You also need opportunities to use what you know for a purpose.
அத்தகைய வாய்ப்புகளில் ஒன்றை உரையாடல் வழங்குகிறது.
Conversation gives you one of those opportunities.
பென்: ஒருவர் முதல்முறையாகப் பயிற்றுநரைத் திறந்தால், என்ன செய்யுமாறு பரிந்துரைப்பீர்கள்?
Ben: So if somebody opens the tutor for the first time, what would you suggest?
கிளாரா: உண்மையான ஒரு நோக்கத்துடன் தொடங்குங்கள்.
Clara: Start with a real purpose.
“எனக்கு ஸ்பானிஷ் கற்றுக்கொடுங்கள்” என்று மட்டும் உள்ளிடாதீர்கள்.
Don't just type "teach me Spanish."
நீங்கள் உண்மையில் பேச விரும்பும் ஒரு தலைப்பையோ, நிஜமாகவே சந்திக்கக்கூடிய ஒரு சூழலையோ தேர்ந்தெடுங்கள்.
Choose something you actually want to talk about or a situation you might genuinely encounter.
நீங்கள் ஏற்கெனவே கற்றுவரும் சொற்கள் இருந்தால், சொற்களஞ்சிய அமர்வை முயன்று பாருங்கள். அந்தச் சொற்றொடர்களை அடையாளம் காண்பதுடன் நிறுத்திக்கொள்ளாமல், அவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்துவதற்கான வாய்ப்புகளை உங்களுக்கே உருவாக்குங்கள்.
If you have vocabulary you're already learning, try a vocabulary session and give yourself opportunities to use those expressions rather than only recognise them.
உண்மையில் நினைவில் வைத்துக்கொள்ள விரும்பும் ஒரு சொற்றொடர் உரையாடலில் தோன்றும்போது, அதைச் சேமியுங்கள்.
And when the conversation produces a phrase that you genuinely want to remember, save it.
பென்: வேறு ஏதாவது?
Ben: Anything else?
கிளாரா: திருத்தங்களை இடையூறுகளாகக் கருதாமல், அவற்றில் கவனம் செலுத்துங்கள்.
Clara: Pay attention to corrections instead of treating them as interruptions.
ஒன்றை இன்னும் சிறப்பாக வெளிப்படுத்தும் வழியைப் பயிற்றுநர் காட்டினால், உரையாடலின் பிற்பகுதியில் அந்த வடிவத்தை நீங்களே பயன்படுத்த முயலுங்கள்.
If the tutor shows you a better way to express something, try using that form yourself later in the conversation.
தவறுகளே இல்லாத அரட்டையை நடத்துவது நோக்கமல்ல.
The goal isn't to have a flawless chat.
பெரும்பாலும் தவறுகளில்தான் பயனுள்ள பயிற்சி இருக்கிறது.
The mistakes are often where the useful practice is.
பென்: அனைத்தும் அறிந்த ஓர் AI ஆசிரியருடன் பேசுவதைப் போல் இல்லாமல், உரையாடலை மற்றொரு கற்றல் சூழலாகப் பயன்படுத்துவதைப் போல் இது தெரிகிறது.
Ben: That sounds much less like talking to an all-knowing AI teacher and much more like using conversation as another learning environment.
கிளாரா: சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள்.
Clara: Exactly.
AI உரையாடலை மிகவும் எளிதாக அணுகக்கூடியதாக மாற்றுகிறது.
AI can make conversation much easier to access.
ஆனால் அந்த உரையாடல் தனித்து இல்லாதபோது என்ன நடக்கிறது என்பதே Vocafy-யில் சுவாரசியமான பகுதி.
But the interesting part in Vocafy is what happens when that conversation is not isolated.
நீங்கள் கற்றுவரும் சொற்கள் அரட்டைக்குள் வரலாம். உண்மையான மீள்பார்வை அங்கேயே நடைபெறலாம். உரையாடலில் கிடைக்கும் பயனுள்ள மொழிக் கூறுகள் மீண்டும் உங்கள் சொற்களஞ்சியத்திற்குள் செல்லலாம்.
Words you're learning can come into the chat. Real review can happen there. Useful language from the conversation can go back into your vocabulary.
உங்கள் கற்றல் தொடரக்கூடிய மற்றோர் இடமாக உரையாடல் மாறுகிறது.
The conversation becomes another place where your learning can continue.
பென்: அதுவே உண்மையான வேறுபாடாக இருக்கலாம்.
Ben: And maybe that's the real difference.
அரட்டை என்பது சென்றடைய வேண்டிய இறுதி இடமல்ல. அது அமைப்பின் ஒரு பகுதி.
The chat isn't the destination. It's part of the system.
கிளாரா: அதைச் சொல்வதற்கு இது ஒரு நல்ல வழி.
Clara: That's a good way to put it.
பென்: கிளாரா, இதைப் பற்றி எங்களுக்கு விளக்கியதற்கு நன்றி.
Ben: Clara, thanks for walking us through it.
கிளாரா: மகிழ்ச்சி.
Clara: My pleasure.
Ben: And to everyone listening, try one simple experiment. Pick a situation you actually want to handle in your new language, start a roleplay, and see how much of what you're learning you can actually use.
கிளாரா: சேமித்து வைக்கத் தகுந்த ஒரு சொற்றொடரை நீங்கள் கண்டறிந்தால், என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பது உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்.
Clara: And if you discover one expression worth keeping, you know what to do.
