Explore grammar by level
You do not always need a complete grammar course. Sometimes you just need a clear explanation of one topic.
Vocafy organises grammar topics from A1 to C1, so you can start with the level and subject that are useful to you.
Each topic explains the grammar with examples and focuses on how it is actually used, not only on rules and terminology.
See how the sentence works
Some grammar is easier to understand when you can see the parts of a sentence and compare similar structures.
Topics can include sentence breakdowns, contrasts between easily confused forms, common problem areas and notes about mistakes that speakers of your language may be more likely to make.
Some explanations also include audio examples and simple diagrams to make the structure easier to follow.
Check your own writing
When you want to work with something you have written yourself, paste or type the text into the grammar checker.
Vocafy checks it for grammar and wording problems and suggests a corrected version.
You can use it for a single sentence or for longer text.
See exactly what changed
The corrected version does not simply replace your original text.
Changes are highlighted so you can quickly see what was removed, what was added and what was rewritten.
This makes it much easier to compare the two versions and notice the parts of your writing that needed attention.
Understand why it changed
A correction is more useful when you understand the reason behind it.
Vocafy can explain the problems it finds and show why a different grammar form or wording works better in that sentence.
This is useful not only for clear mistakes, but also for sentences that are understandable yet sound unusual.
Choose how your text should sound
Correct grammar is only one part of writing well.
You can choose between Normal, Business and Friendly styles depending on what you are writing.
If you want more than error correction, you can also ask Vocafy to make the wording sound more natural.
For example:
Original:
“I made a meeting with him for Monday.”
More natural:
“I scheduled a meeting with him for Monday.”
The first sentence is understandable. The second is closer to how the same idea would normally be expressed in English.
This lets you choose whether you want to correct mistakes or go further and improve the wording as well.
Return to previous corrections
Your previous checks are saved, so you can return to texts you worked on earlier, review the corrections and revisit the explanations.
You can also keep corrected material when you want to use it again later.
