Word doubling
What does repeating a word or part of it add?

Repeating a word or part of it can add meaning, such as extra strength or repeated action. It may also show that something is shared out or happens now and then, or it may create a new word. Some languages use doubling as a regular grammar rule, while others use it only in limited expressions or not as a grammar device at all. Focus and emphasis can highlight a word without repeating it; Word doubling is about the repeated form itself.

Look for a whole word or part of a word being copied in a familiar pattern that adds a meaning, rather than being repeated by accident.
