بِن: أهلًا بيكم في Vocafy من جوّه. أنا بِن، والنهارده معايا كلارا عشان نتكلم عن الفكرة اللي ورا Vocafy. كلارا، الموقف ده أكيد مألوف: بشوف كلمة بالإسباني وببقى عارف معناها. بعدين، وقت ما أحتاجها، مش بفتكرها. هو أنا كده اتعلّمتها فعلًا؟
Ben: Welcome to Vocafy Unpacked. I'm Ben, and today I'm joined by Clara to talk about the thinking behind Vocafy. Clara, here's something familiar: I see a word in Spanish and know what it means. Then, when I need it, I can't remember it. Did I actually learn it?
كلارا: إنت اتعلّمت عنها حاجة. إنك تتعرّف على كلمة، وتفتكرها من غير تلميح، وتفهمها لما حد يقولها، وتستخدمها بنفسك—كل واحدة من دول بتحتاج منك حاجة مختلفة. ممكن تبقى مرتاح مع واحدة ولسه محتاج تتدرّب على غيرها.
Clara: You've learned something about it. Recognising a word, remembering it without a hint, understanding it when someone says it, and using it yourself are different demands. You can be comfortable with one and still need practice with another.
بِن: يعني التعرّف عليها تقدُّم، بس لسه فيه حاجات تانية محتاجة شغل.
Ben: So recognising it is progress, but there's more to work on.
كلارا: بالظبط. وده واحد من أسباب إن Vocafy بيربط أنواع التدريب المختلفة ببعض. التعبير المفيد ممكن يبقى جزء من حاجة بتقراها، وحاجة بتراجعها، وحاجة بتسمعها، وحاجة بتستخدمها بنفسك.
Clara: Exactly. And that's one reason Vocafy connects different kinds of practice. A useful expression can be part of something you read, something you review, something you listen to, and something you use yourself.
بِن: أبدأ منين؟ أمشي على كورس؟
Ben: What's the starting point? Do I follow a course?
كلارا: ممكن تتابع دروس لو عايز توجيه أكتر. لكن تقدر كمان تبدأ بحاجة عايز تفهمها أو تعملها. اعمل محتوى مناسب لمستواك، أو ضيف حاجة موجودة عندك، أو اختار من المحتوى المتاح.
Clara: You can follow lessons if you want more guidance. But you can also start with something you want to understand or do. Create material for your level, bring something you already have, or choose from the available content.
بِن: خلّينا ناخد مثال عملي. أنا بتعلّم إسباني وبخطط لرحلة. ممكن أبدأ منين؟
Ben: Let's make that concrete. I'm learning Spanish, and I'm planning a trip. Where could I begin?
Clara: You could start by asking Vocafy to create a vocabulary set for your trip, with useful words, common phrases and example sentences. These collections are called Voca sets. You can listen to them while travelling or in your free time, choosing which language comes first, how often each item repeats, and how much time you have between them. Or you could generate a short reading about arriving in a new city, or a story with several chapters, at a level that suits you. A simple prompt can be enough to get started.
بِن: ولو لقيت بالفعل فيديو عن السفر وعايز أتفرّج عليه؟
Ben: And if I've already found a travel video I want to watch?
كلارا: تقدر تضيف فيديوهات YouTube من خلال إضافة المتصفح وتشتغل على الترجمة المكتوبة بتاعتها. وتقدر كمان تضيف مقال أو نص من عندك، أو تختار كتاب أو فيديو أو أغنية موجودة بالفعل على Vocafy.
Clara: You can bring in YouTube videos through the browser extension and work with their subtitles. You can also bring in an article or your own text, or choose a book, video or song already in Vocafy.
بِن: هو لازم المحتوى يكون حاجة أنا شغوف بيها؟
Ben: Does the material have to be something I'm passionate about?
كلارا: لأ. كونه مفيد سبب كويس برضه. ممكن يكون مستند شغل، أو موضوع من الكورس، أو موقف متوقّع تقابله. الفكرة إن يبقى عندك سبب يخليك تركز في الكلام ومعناه.
Clara: No. Useful is a good reason too. It might be a work document, a topic from your course, or a situation you expect to face. The idea is to give yourself a reason to pay attention to what the language means.
بِن: تمام. أنا بقرا قصة السفر، ولقيت تعبير عايز أفتكره. إيه اللي بيحصل؟
Ben: All right. I'm reading my travel story, and I find an expression I want to remember. What happens?
كلارا: بتحدده، وتتأكد من معناه، وتحفظه ضمن مفرداتك. ولو فيه جملة من المصدر، بتفضل محفوظة معاه عشان تقدر ترجع للتعبير في سياقه.
Clara: You select it, check its meaning, and save it to your vocabulary. Where a source sentence is available, that stays with it, so you can return to the expression in context.
بِن: بدل ما أبص عليه بكرة وأقول: أنا حفظته ليه؟
Ben: Rather than looking at it tomorrow and wondering why I saved it.
كلارا: بالظبط. ولو ظهر في نص تاني بيدعم الميزة، التظليل ممكن يوضّح إنه موجود فعلًا ضمن مفرداتك—سواء لسه بتتعلّمه أو محدّده على إنه معروف.
Clara: Right. And if it appears in another supported text, the highlighting can show that it's already part of your vocabulary—whether you're learning it or have marked it as known.
بِن: هو ده اللي تقصديه بذاكرة التعلُّم؟
Ben: Is that what you mean by Learning Memory?
كلارا: ده جزء منها. ذاكرة التعلُّم بتتابع المفردات اللي حفظتها، وسياقها، وحالة كل كلمة في التعلُّم، وسجل التدريبات المرتبط بيها. وبكده بيبقى عند أجزاء Vocafy المختلفة سجل مشترك تعتمد عليه.
Clara: That's part of it. Learning Memory keeps track of your saved vocabulary, its context, your learning states and related practice history. It gives different parts of Vocafy a shared record to work with.
بِن: يعني هي عارفة أنا بعرف أستخدم كل كلمة كويس قد إيه؟
Ben: Does it know how well I can use every word?
كلارا: مش بشكل كامل. مجرد حفظ كلمة أو الإجابة عليها صح في المراجعة مش بيحكي الصورة كاملة. دلوقتي، دورها الأساسي هو ربط مفرداتك بسجل تعلُّمك. أما فهم الطرق المختلفة اللي بتعرف بيها الكلمة وبتستخدمها، فده جانب لسه بيتطوّر.
Clara: Not completely. A saved word or a successful review doesn't tell the whole story. Today, it mainly connects your vocabulary and learning history. Understanding more about the different ways you know and use a word is something being developed further.
بِن: طيب، حفظت التعبير. أتدرّب إزاي عشان أفتكره؟
Ben: So I've saved my expression. How do I work on remembering it?
كلارا: تقدر ترجع له من خلال المراجعة المتباعدة، باستخدام أنواع مختلفة من التمارين. ممكن تحاول تفتكر التعبير، أو تكتب إجابة، أو تكمّل جملة، أو تتدرّب على الاستماع. ساعات هتتعرّف على الإجابة بسهولة، لكن إنك تفتكرها من غير أي تلميح ممكن يحتاج مجهود أكتر.
Clara: You can return to it through spaced review, with different kinds of tasks. You might recall the expression, type an answer, complete a sentence or practise listening. Sometimes you'll recognise the answer easily; having to produce it yourself may take more effort.
بِن: طب وفي الأوقات اللي مش عايز أقعد فيها وأجاوب على أسئلة؟
Ben: And what about times when I don't want to sit and answer questions?
كلارا: تقدر تسمع مجموعاتك، زي مجموعة السفر اللي بدأنا بيها. ومع إضافة تعبيرات مفيدة من القراية أو أنشطة تانية، تقدر تضمّها هي كمان. يعني اللي تكتشفه النهارده ممكن يبقى جزء من اللي تسمعه بكرة.
Clara: You can listen to your collections, just like that travel set we started with. As you add useful expressions from your reading or other activities, you can include those too. So what you discover today can become part of what you listen to tomorrow.
بِن: طب وفين ييجي دور المدرّس بالذكاء الاصطناعي؟
Ben: Where does the AI tutor come in?
كلارا: تقدر تعمل محادثة، أو تطلب شرح، أو تتدرّب على المفردات، أو تتدرّب على موقف عملي. وبالنسبة لرحلتك، ممكن تتدرّب على تسجيل الوصول في فندق أو السؤال عن تذكرة قطار.
Clara: You can have a conversation, ask for an explanation, practise vocabulary or work through a situation. For your trip, you might practise checking into a hotel or asking about a train ticket.
بِن: هل المدرّس بيربط ده باللي كنت بتعلّمه؟
Ben: Does the tutor connect to what I've been learning?
كلارا: يقدر يوصل للأجزاء المناسبة من مفرداتك وسجل تعلُّمك، عشان التعبيرات اللي شغّال عليها تدخل في التدريب. ويقدر كمان يستعين بأدوات زي اختبار قصير أو مراجعة، أو يقترح حفظ تعبير جديد يظهر أثناء المحادثة.
Clara: It can access relevant parts of your vocabulary and learning history, so expressions you're working on can come into the practice. It can also bring in tools such as a quiz or review, or offer to save a new expression that comes up.
بِن: لازم أخلّي المحادثة مركّزة على الكلمات اللي حفظتها؟
Ben: Do I have to keep the conversation focused on my saved words?
كلارا: لأ. تقدر تمشي مع المحادثة في أي اتجاه يفيدك. الربط موجود عشان يساعدك، وتقدر تعدّل طريقة شرح المدرّس وتصحيحه ليك.
Clara: No. You can follow the conversation wherever it's useful. The connection is there to support you, and you can adjust how the tutor explains things and corrects you.
بِن: طب لو فاهم تعبير لكن نطقه صعب عليا؟
Ben: What if I understand an expression but struggle to pronounce it?
كلارا: فيه قسم منفصل للتدريب على النطق. تقدر تتدرّب على كلمات بتتعلّمها أو على مجموعة مفردات، وتسجّل صوتك، وتسمع التسجيل، وتاخد ملاحظات على نطقك. وده بيديك طريقة مركّزة تتدرّب بيها على نطق الكلام بصوت عالي.
Clara: There's a separate pronunciation practice area. You can work with words you're learning or a vocabulary collection, record yourself, listen back and get feedback. That gives you a focused way to work on saying something aloud.
بِن: اتكلمنا عن القراية، والمراجعة، والاستماع، والمدرّس، والنطق. هل ده ترتيب مفروض أمشي عليه؟
Ben: We've talked about reading, review, listening, the tutor and pronunciation. Is that a sequence I'm supposed to follow?
كلارا: لأ، ومش لازم تستخدم كل حاجة. ممكن تقرا حاجة وتحفظ منها عبارتين مفيدتين. وفي يوم تاني، ممكن تراجع، أو تتابع درس، أو تستخدم أداة تدقيق القواعد. الفكرة إن الأنشطة دي تقدر ترتبط ببعض من خلال اللي بتتعلّمه.
Clara: No, and you don't need to use everything. You might read something and save two useful phrases. Another day, you might review, follow a lesson or use the grammar checker. The point is that these activities can connect through what you're learning.
بِن: طيب، إيه أول خطوة عملية؟
Ben: So what's a sensible first step?
كلارا: اختار حاجة صغيرة حابب تفهمها أو تعرف تعبّر عنها. اعمل أو افتح محتوى مرتبط بيها، واحفظ اللي يفيدك، وارجع له. وادّي نفسك فرص تفهم فيها اللغة وفرص تستخدمها.
Clara: Choose one small thing you'd like to understand or be able to express. Create or open some material around it, save what's useful, and come back to it. Give yourself opportunities both to understand the language and to use it.
بِن: وكل فرصة ممكن تبني على اللي قبلها.
Ben: And those opportunities can build on each other.
كلارا: بالظبط. دي الفكرة اللي ورا Vocafy: إن اللي يفيدك من اللغة وسياقه يفضلوا معاك وإنت مكمل في التعلُّم.
Clara: Exactly. That's the thinking behind Vocafy: keeping useful language and its context with you as you continue learning.
بِن: كلارا، شكرًا ليكي. وشكرًا لكل اللي بيسمعونا. تقدروا تستكشفوا Vocafy على vocafy.net. نشوفكم الحلقة الجاية من Vocafy من جوّه.
Ben: Clara, thank you. And thanks to everyone listening. You can explore Vocafy at vocafy.net. See you next time on Vocafy Unpacked.
