Learn with more guidance when you want it

Not every learning session has to start from a text you find or create yourself.

Lessons provide more structured material around a particular level and topic, with explanations and examples already organised for you.

Lessons can be grouped into courses, so related topics can build on one another when you want a clearer path through the material.

Follow a course or choose only what you need

A course contains a series of lessons arranged in a useful order.

You can work through them from beginning to end, but you do not have to complete the whole course.

If one lesson covers exactly what you need, you can use that lesson on its own. If you prefer more structure, you can follow the course step by step.

The aim is to provide guidance without turning the course into a compulsory path.

Find material for your level

Courses are created for a particular language and CEFR level, helping you choose material that matches where you are in your learning.

CEFR is the commonly used A1–C2 scale, from beginner to advanced.

The explanations around the language you are learning can be presented in your own interface language, so you can focus on understanding the new material rather than struggling with the instructions.

Explore important language inside the lesson

Important words and expressions can be highlighted directly in the lesson.

Select one to see information that helps you understand it in that particular context. This can include its meaning, an example sentence and an additional explanation when one is useful.

You can also listen to the expression directly from the lesson, helping you connect what you read with how it sounds.

Because the help stays close to the material you are studying, you do not have to leave the lesson every time you want to understand a word or phrase better.

Keep vocabulary you want to practise later

If a word or expression in a lesson is useful to you, you can save it to your own vocabulary.

It can then become part of the same learning memory you use elsewhere in Vocafy, rather than remaining only inside that lesson.

This means a guided lesson can also help you build a personal collection of language that you want to remember and use.

Keep track of where you are

When you finish a lesson, you can mark it as completed.

Vocafy remembers this and shows your progress through the course, including how many lessons you have completed.

This is simply a way to keep your place. You are free to return to earlier lessons, skip ahead or use only the parts of a course that are relevant to you.
