Focus is often marked by particles such as ही, भी, तो, by word order or intonation.
राम ही आया।
Ram only/emphatically came.
आपकी सीखी जा रही भाषा में
अंग्रेज़ी में focus दिखाने के लिए आवाज़ का stress, cleft sentence जैसे “It was X who...”, शब्दों को आगे लाना, और context इस्तेमाल होते हैं।
It was John who called.
John = जिस जानकारी पर खास जोर है; मतलब फोन John ने किया, कोई और नहीं।
सीखने वाले केवल word order से जोर दिखाने की कोशिश कर सकते हैं, जबकि अंग्रेज़ी में अक्सर stress, cleft structure या अधिक स्पष्ट wording चाहिए होती है।
