بِن: أهلًا بكم في «Vocafy عن قرب». أنا بِن، وتنضم إليّ اليوم كلارا للحديث عن الأفكار التي تقوم عليها Vocafy. كلارا، هذا موقف مألوف: أرى كلمة بالإسبانية وأعرف معناها، لكنني لا أستطيع تذكّرها حين أحتاج إليها. فهل تعلّمتها فعلًا؟

Ben: Welcome to Vocafy Unpacked. I'm Ben, and today I'm joined by Clara to talk about the thinking behind Vocafy. Clara, here's something familiar: I see a word in Spanish and know what it means. Then, when I need it, I can't remember it. Did I actually learn it?

كلارا: تعلّمت شيئًا عنها. فالتعرّف على كلمة، وتذكّرها من دون تلميح، وفهمها حين ينطق بها شخص ما، واستخدامها بنفسك، كلها متطلبات مختلفة. قد يسهل عليك أحدها بينما تظل بحاجة إلى التدرّب على آخر.

Clara: You've learned something about it. Recognising a word, remembering it without a hint, understanding it when someone says it, and using it yourself are different demands. You can be comfortable with one and still need practice with another.

بِن: إذًا فالتعرّف عليها يمثّل تقدّمًا، لكن ما زال هناك ما ينبغي التدرّب عليه.

Ben: So recognising it is progress, but there's more to work on.

كلارا: بالضبط. وهذا أحد أسباب ربط Vocafy بين أنواع مختلفة من التدرّب. فقد تظهر عبارة مفيدة في محتوى تقرؤه، ثم تصبح مما تراجعه وتستمع إليه وتستخدمه بنفسك.

Clara: Exactly. And that's one reason Vocafy connects different kinds of practice. A useful expression can be part of something you read, something you review, something you listen to, and something you use yourself.

بِن: ما نقطة البداية إذًا؟ هل أتّبع دورة تعليمية؟

Ben: What's the starting point? Do I follow a course?

كلارا: يمكنك اتّباع الدروس إذا أردت مزيدًا من التوجيه. لكن يمكنك أيضًا البدء بشيء تريد فهمه أو فعله. يمكنك إنشاء مادة تناسب مستواك، أو إضافة مادة لديك بالفعل، أو الاختيار من المحتوى المتاح.

Clara: You can follow lessons if you want more guidance. But you can also start with something you want to understand or do. Create material for your level, bring something you already have, or choose from the available content.

بِن: لنأخذ مثالًا عمليًا. أنا أتعلّم الإسبانية وأخطط لرحلة. من أين يمكنني البدء؟

Ben: Let's make that concrete. I'm learning Spanish, and I'm planning a trip. Where could I begin?

Clara: You could start by asking Vocafy to create a vocabulary set for your trip, with useful words, common phrases and example sentences. These collections are called Voca sets. You can listen to them while travelling or in your free time, choosing which language comes first, how often each item repeats, and how much time you have between them. Or you could generate a short reading about arriving in a new city, or a story with several chapters, at a level that suits you. A simple prompt can be enough to get started.

بِن: وماذا لو كنت قد وجدت بالفعل مقطع فيديو عن السفر أريد مشاهدته؟

Ben: And if I've already found a travel video I want to watch?

كلارا: يمكنك استيراد مقاطع فيديو من YouTube عبر إضافة المتصفح والعمل باستخدام نصوصها المصاحبة. ويمكنك أيضًا استيراد مقال أو نص خاص بك، أو اختيار كتاب أو مقطع فيديو أو أغنية موجودة بالفعل في Vocafy.

Clara: You can bring in YouTube videos through the browser extension and work with their subtitles. You can also bring in an article or your own text, or choose a book, video or song already in Vocafy.

بِن: هل يجب أن تكون المادة شيئًا شغوفًا به؟

Ben: Does the material have to be something I'm passionate about?

كلارا: لا، فكونها مفيدة سبب وجيه أيضًا. فقد تكون وثيقة عمل، أو موضوعًا من دورتك، أو موقفًا تتوقع مواجهته. والفكرة هي أن تمنح نفسك سببًا للاهتمام بما تعنيه اللغة.

Clara: No. Useful is a good reason too. It might be a work document, a topic from your course, or a situation you expect to face. The idea is to give yourself a reason to pay attention to what the language means.

بِن: حسنًا. أنا أقرأ قصة السفر، وأجد عبارة أريد تذكّرها. ماذا يحدث بعد ذلك؟

Ben: All right. I'm reading my travel story, and I find an expression I want to remember. What happens?

كلارا: تحدّدها، وتتحقّق من معناها، ثم تحفظها ضمن مفرداتك. وإذا كانت الجملة التي وردت فيها متاحة، فتبقى محفوظة معها، لتتمكّن من العودة إلى العبارة ضمن سياقها.

Clara: You select it, check its meaning, and save it to your vocabulary. Where a source sentence is available, that stays with it, so you can return to the expression in context.

بِن: بدلًا من أن أراها غدًا وأتساءل لماذا حفظتها.

Ben: Rather than looking at it tomorrow and wondering why I saved it.

كلارا: صحيح. وإذا ظهرت في نص آخر مدعوم، يمكن لإبرازها أن يوضّح أنها مدرجة بالفعل ضمن مفرداتك، سواء كنت تتعلّمها أو صنّفتها على أنها معروفة.

Clara: Right. And if it appears in another supported text, the highlighting can show that it's already part of your vocabulary—whether you're learning it or have marked it as known.

بِن: هل هذا هو المقصود بـ«ذاكرة التعلّم»؟

Ben: Is that what you mean by Learning Memory?

كلارا: هذا جزء منها. تتتبّع «ذاكرة التعلّم» المفردات التي حفظتها، وسياقاتها، وحالات تعلّمك لها، وسجل التدريبات المتصلة بها. وبذلك تمنح أجزاء Vocafy المختلفة سجلًا مشتركًا تستند إليه.

Clara: That's part of it. Learning Memory keeps track of your saved vocabulary, its context, your learning states and related practice history. It gives different parts of Vocafy a shared record to work with.

بِن: هل تعرف مدى قدرتي على استخدام كل كلمة؟

Ben: Does it know how well I can use every word?

كلارا: ليس تمامًا. فحفظ كلمة أو إتمام مراجعتها بنجاح لا يكشف الصورة كاملة. في الوقت الراهن، تربط «ذاكرة التعلّم» أساسًا بين مفرداتك وسجل تعلّمك. ويجري العمل على تطوير فهم أعمق لمختلف أوجه معرفة المتعلّم بالكلمة واستخدامه لها.

Clara: Not completely. A saved word or a successful review doesn't tell the whole story. Today, it mainly connects your vocabulary and learning history. Understanding more about the different ways you know and use a word is something being developed further.

بِن: لقد حفظت العبارة إذًا. كيف أتدرّب على تذكّرها؟

Ben: So I've saved my expression. How do I work on remembering it?

كلارا: يمكنك العودة إليها من خلال المراجعة المتباعدة، باستخدام أنواع مختلفة من المهام. فقد تحاول استدعاء العبارة من الذاكرة، أو كتابة إجابة، أو إكمال جملة، أو التدرّب على الاستماع. وأحيانًا قد تتعرّف على الإجابة بسهولة، بينما يتطلب استدعاؤها من الذاكرة من دون مساعدة جهدًا أكبر.

Clara: You can return to it through spaced review, with different kinds of tasks. You might recall the expression, type an answer, complete a sentence or practise listening. Sometimes you'll recognise the answer easily; having to produce it yourself may take more effort.

بِن: وماذا عن الأوقات التي لا أريد فيها الجلوس والإجابة عن الأسئلة؟

Ben: And what about times when I don't want to sit and answer questions?

كلارا: يمكنك ببساطة الاستماع إلى مجموعاتك، كما في مجموعة السفر التي بدأنا بها. ومع إضافة عبارات مفيدة مما تقرؤه أو من أنشطة أخرى، يمكنك ضمّها هي أيضًا. وهكذا، يمكن لما تكتشفه اليوم أن يصبح جزءًا مما تستمع إليه غدًا.

Clara: You can listen to your collections, just like that travel set we started with. As you add useful expressions from your reading or other activities, you can include those too. So what you discover today can become part of what you listen to tomorrow.

بِن: وأين يأتي دور المعلّم المدعوم بالذكاء الاصطناعي؟

Ben: Where does the AI tutor come in?

كلارا: يمكنك إجراء محادثة، أو طلب شرح، أو التدرّب على المفردات، أو التدرّب على التعامل مع موقف ما. وبالنسبة إلى رحلتك، يمكنك التدرّب على تسجيل الوصول في فندق أو الاستفسار عن تذكرة قطار.

Clara: You can have a conversation, ask for an explanation, practise vocabulary or work through a situation. For your trip, you might practise checking into a hotel or asking about a train ticket.

بِن: هل يرتبط المعلّم بما كنت أتعلّمه؟

Ben: Does the tutor connect to what I've been learning?

كلارا: يمكنه الوصول إلى الأجزاء ذات الصلة من مفرداتك وسجل تعلّمك، بحيث تدخل العبارات التي تعمل عليها في التدريب. كما يمكنه الاستعانة بأدوات مثل اختبار قصير أو مراجعة، أو اقتراح حفظ عبارة جديدة تظهر أثناء المحادثة.

Clara: It can access relevant parts of your vocabulary and learning history, so expressions you're working on can come into the practice. It can also bring in tools such as a quiz or review, or offer to save a new expression that comes up.

بِن: هل يجب أن تظل المحادثة مركّزة على الكلمات التي حفظتها؟

Ben: Do I have to keep the conversation focused on my saved words?

كلارا: لا. يمكنك متابعة المحادثة في أي اتجاه يفيدك. هذا الترابط موجود لدعمك، ويمكنك ضبط طريقة شرح المعلّم للأمور وتصحيحه لأخطائك.

Clara: No. You can follow the conversation wherever it's useful. The connection is there to support you, and you can adjust how the tutor explains things and corrects you.

بِن: ماذا لو كنت أفهم عبارة ما، لكنني أجد صعوبة في نطقها؟

Ben: What if I understand an expression but struggle to pronounce it?

كلارا: هناك قسم مستقل للتدرّب على النطق. يمكنك التدرّب باستخدام كلمات تتعلّمها أو مجموعة مفردات، وتسجيل صوتك، ثم الاستماع إليه والحصول على ملاحظات. وهذا يوفّر وسيلة مركّزة للتدرّب على نطق شيء بصوت عالٍ.

Clara: There's a separate pronunciation practice area. You can work with words you're learning or a vocabulary collection, record yourself, listen back and get feedback. That gives you a focused way to work on saying something aloud.

بِن: تحدثنا عن القراءة والمراجعة والاستماع والمعلّم والنطق. هل هذا تسلسل يُفترض أن أتّبعه؟

Ben: We've talked about reading, review, listening, the tutor and pronunciation. Is that a sequence I'm supposed to follow?

كلارا: لا، ولا حاجة إلى استخدام كل شيء. فقد تقرأ شيئًا وتحفظ عبارتين مفيدتين. وفي يوم آخر، قد تراجع ما تعلّمته، أو تتابع درسًا، أو تستخدم مدقّق القواعد النحوية. المهم أن هذه الأنشطة يمكن أن تترابط من خلال ما تتعلّمه.

Clara: No, and you don't need to use everything. You might read something and save two useful phrases. Another day, you might review, follow a lesson or use the grammar checker. The point is that these activities can connect through what you're learning.

بِن: ما الخطوة الأولى المناسبة إذًا؟

Ben: So what's a sensible first step?

كلارا: اختر أمرًا صغيرًا ترغب في فهمه أو في التمكّن من التعبير عنه. أنشئ مادة حوله أو افتح مادة مرتبطة به، واحفظ منها ما يفيدك، ثم عُد إليها. وأتح لنفسك فرصًا لفهم اللغة واستخدامها.

Clara: Choose one small thing you'd like to understand or be able to express. Create or open some material around it, save what's useful, and come back to it. Give yourself opportunities both to understand the language and to use it.

بِن: وهكذا تستند كل فرصة إلى ما سبقها.

Ben: And those opportunities can build on each other.

كلارا: بالضبط. هذه هي الفكرة التي تقوم عليها Vocafy: أن تحتفظ بما يفيدك من اللغة وبسياقه وأنت تواصل التعلّم.

Clara: Exactly. That's the thinking behind Vocafy: keeping useful language and its context with you as you continue learning.

بِن: شكرًا لك يا كلارا. وشكرًا لكل من يستمع إلينا. يمكنكم استكشاف Vocafy على vocafy.net. نلتقي في الحلقة المقبلة من «Vocafy عن قرب».

Ben: Clara, thank you. And thanks to everyone listening. You can explore Vocafy at vocafy.net. See you next time on Vocafy Unpacked.
