Englisch markiert Fokus durch Betonung, Satzmuster wie It was X who..., Voranstellung und den Zusammenhang im Gespräch.
It was John who called.
John = hervorgehobene Information; der Satz bedeutet: John war es, der angerufen hat, nicht jemand anderes.
Lernende verlassen sich manchmal nur auf die Wortstellung, obwohl Englisch oft Betonung, besondere Satzmuster oder klarere Formulierungen braucht.
