Carlo Collodi was the pen name of Carlo Lorenzini, an Italian journalist and writer from Florence who also wrote schoolbooks for children. He is best known for The Adventures of Pinocchio, first published as a magazine serial from 1881 to 1883 and now one of the most translated books in the world.
