Create a quiz from what you want to practise

You do not have to write every question yourself.

Vocafy can create a complete quiz from a Voca Set or from a simple description of what you want to practise.

The generated quiz is a starting point, not something you have to accept as it is. You can review the questions, edit them, remove what you do not need and add your own before using or sharing the quiz.

You can also build a quiz manually when you want full control from the beginning.

Practise in different ways

A quiz can combine different kinds of questions, depending on what you want to practise.

Choose the answer

Select the correct answer from several options when you want to practise recognition.

Type the answer

Recall the word, expression or translation yourself and type it instead of choosing from visible options.

Put words or sentence parts in order

Rearrange the pieces into the correct order and practise sentence structure as well as vocabulary.

Fill in missing words

Complete a sentence by choosing the missing word from a word bank. Some questions can contain more than one gap.

Listen and type

Listen to a word or sentence, then type what you heard.

Use one question type or mix them

You decide which kinds of questions a quiz should contain.

You can keep the whole quiz focused on one type of task or combine several types in the same session.

This makes it possible to create anything from a quick vocabulary check to a more varied quiz that combines recognition, recall, listening and sentence building.

Make the quiz your own

Questions can be edited individually, so you are not limited to the first version of a quiz.

You can change the wording, answers and order of the questions, or add your own material. Generated questions can also include hints and explanations when they are useful.

This makes it possible to start quickly without giving up control over what you actually want to practise.

See what was easy and what needs more work

Vocafy saves quiz results and practice statistics, so you can look back at how a quiz went instead of treating it as a one-time exercise.

You can also see questions or vocabulary that repeatedly cause difficulty and return to them later.

Create your own quizzes or discover others

Your quizzes can stay private, be shared directly with someone, or be made public for other Vocafy users.

You can also browse quizzes that other learners have shared, save useful ones to your favourites and return to them later.

Quiz and daily review serve different purposes

Some quiz tasks are similar to the exercises used in vocabulary review, but the two are not the same.

Daily review helps you return to the vocabulary you are learning over time. A quiz is a separate piece of practice that you can create for a particular Voca Set, topic or learning goal and use whenever you want.

You can use both depending on what you want to work on.
