You have full control over your social visibility. By default, Vocafy respects your privacy and lets you decide who can interact with your profile.

Profile visibility levels

Under Settings > Profile, you can choose one of three visibility modes:

  • Private (Default): Only you can view your profile, learning streaks, word bank, and study history. No other user can see your activity.
  • Friends Only: Only learning buddies you have mutually accepted as friends can view your profile and stats.
  • Public: Your profile is visible to other learners in the Vocafy community.

Granular privacy controls

Regardless of your overall visibility mode, you can independently toggle:

  • Show / Hide Learning Stats: Hide your streaks, review counts, and vocabulary numbers.
  • Show / Hide Bio: Keep your personal introduction private.
  • Show / Hide Avatar: Display a default neutral silhouette instead of your photo.
  • Allow Friend Requests: Prevent new friend requests from other users.
