Englische Teilnehmer werden meist mit einem Nomen samt Begleitwörtern oder mit Pronomen ausgedrückt; Artikel und Einzahl/Mehrzahl sind oft wichtig.

Lernende lassen vor zählbaren Nomen im Singular oft den Artikel weg, z. B. a oder the, oder benutzen Pronomen, ohne klar zu machen, worauf sie sich beziehen.
