1. What are cookies?

To keep Vocafy secure and protect it from abuse.
To keep the web application working properly.

To understand, in a privacy-friendly and aggregated way, which parts of Vocafy are useful.

We aim to keep our use of cookies simple and respectful. We do not sell cookie data, and we do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.

3. Essential cookies

Essential cookies are necessary for Vocafy to work properly and securely. They cannot be switched off through our cookie settings, although you can block them in your browser. If you block essential cookies, some parts of Vocafy may not work correctly.

4. Preference and functional cookies

Preference and functional cookies help Vocafy remember choices you make. These cookies make the app more convenient, but they are not used for advertising.

5. First-party analytics

Vocafy may use privacy-friendly first-party analytics to understand how our own website and learning content are used. This helps us answer questions such as:

Which language pages are most useful?
Which dictionaries, articles, or learning materials are popular?
Which countries users generally visit from?
Where the app may be slow or difficult to use?
Which content should be improved or expanded?

Our analytics are designed to focus on content and product quality, not individual surveillance. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or other third-party advertising trackers.

Our Promise:

We do not use analytics cookies to track you across other websites.
We do not sell analytics data.
We do not use analytics data for targeted advertising.
We do not build permanent behavioral profiles of guest users.

Data we may process:

Page or content viewed.
Approximate country or region.
Interface language.
Browser or device type (at a general level).
Timestamp of the request.
Basic performance information.
An anonymous first-party visitor identifier.

Note: We may briefly process your IP address for security, abuse prevention, and approximate country detection. Your raw IP address is not stored in our long-term analytics database.

6. Browser storage and caching

Vocafy may use Local Storage, Session Storage, IndexedDB, service worker cache, or browser cache to improve the app experience. These technologies may be used to:

Remember interface settings.
Improve loading speed and cache selected resources.
Reduce repeated network requests.
Support audio or media performance.
Store temporary app state.

You can clear this data through your browser settings.

7. Third-party cookies

Vocafy does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. We do not currently use:

Google Analytics
Meta Pixel
TikTok Pixel
LinkedIn Insight Tag
Third-party remarketing pixels or behavioral advertising cookies

If this changes in the future, we will update this Cookie Notice and ask for your consent before enabling non-essential cookies.

8. Your choices

When you visit Vocafy, you may be asked to choose how cookies are used. Essential cookies are always active because they are needed to keep Vocafy secure. Optional analytics or preference cookies are used only if you allow them.
